It's not Shakespeare, and it's not trying to be. It's just a good old fashioned fun movie that's semi-aware of it's own being. Kurt Russell is great as Ego and the Guardians play off each other well.

As sequels go it was entertaining and it answered some questions about the main character. For me I really liked the first one better, but still enjoyed this new version and the special effects.
