It's rare when the sequel meets or exceeds the
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.original film, but Guardians 2 delivers on a comedic, action filled comic book movie that at the very least is an equal to the first Guardians movie, but in some ways is even better. The original was a risk for Marvel, but it paid off and allowed for the sequel to get a little more in depth with character development and a good story. It was nice seeing the aftermath of the first film carry into the events of the second film and the personal development of Michael Rooker's Yondu and Bradley Cooper's Rocket, two characters that were strictly comic relief in the first movie, but played a key role in the second while showing a coherent story arc. The action scenes are crisp, the dialogue is excellent, the comedy is perfectly timed, though occasionally overdone, but overall, one of the best entries in the Marvel CU.
