GUARDIANS WAS GOOD!! NOT MARVEL AT ITS BEST BUT IT HELD IT OWN!!!

I really liked this movie. My kids liked it, too. Can't wait for #3

Not be confused with the soundtrack. Because people think of music as volumes, and films as parts. Or sequels. See how cleaver they were? They were referencing the greatness of the music in the film, that's why they called it volume 2! Instead of Guardians of the Galaxy part 2... Because then it just sounds likes it has nothing to do with the soundtrack. And that would be terrible product placement to neglect such a great album... Oh no I said ALBUM... Now I'll have to explain what an album is!!!

Some crude humor but good messages about friendship & sacrifice.

A talking Raccoon is awesome like wow great flick and action pack

Not going to go into the plot too much here. Bottom line, this movie, like the first is a lot of fun! The cast is great, especially with the inclusion of Kurt Russel, and the jokes really hit some highs. A real stand out for this movie to me was just how gorgeous some scenes were. The vibrancy of the colors used in this film are made into a spectacle by the wide color gamut of HDR. The scenes with Ego's planet especially make this movie really something to behold when paird with the right entertainment setup.

I did a longer review of this movie in the Steelbook section because that was my first purchase of the movie. I bought this version as a gift for a friend. The Guardians franchise has quickly become one of my favorite Marvel franchise. This movie picks up very shortly after the first film and carries on the action, comedy, music, and great story telling that we got in the first movie. I like it so much I bought it again to give to a friend. This is definitely a movie that can be watched over and over.

IMO, not as good as the first. Tried to be too cute with the jokes.

It's fun movie but it's definitely not as good as the original

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is a great movie (even though I enjoyed the first one "Vol .1" better). Vol. 2 explored the characters and their family dynamics (especially with "Star Lord") more than "Vol. 1" but it was a unique take with a Marvel superhero movie. Since the movie was done so well, I totally appreciated that direction. The director (James Gunn) just didn't want to make a 'regular' action based superhero movie, he wanted it to be something special and he achieved that goal!

I think what makes the Guardians movies work so well (love that Guardians is now plural) is summed up by one scene. It contains the line "I'm Mary Poppins y'all!" Seriously, that one scene is why it works so well. Love these movies and so glad they have turned out even better than that 2nd trailer that had 'Spirit In The Sky' in it way back. To tell the truth, I was wasn't worried at all about Vol. 2. It's as fun and serious and deep and silly and teary as I'd hoped. Kudos to all involved!
