The Best All Around Gunnar Glasses Ever

Before i get started on this review, the only reason i gave it 4 stars was because it didn't come with the instructions nor a cleaning clothe like most gunnar glasses products, with that being said, im leaving a picture to tell you the difference, on the left is the gunnar glasses with amber tint that blocks 100% blue light, on the right, the gunnar glasses with light yellow tint blocks out 65% blue light. There's a night and day difference, when i first wore the ones on the right for a few years, it was great, until a few months ago, i started getting just a tad bit eye strain but not too noticeable. I was still sleeping well here and there. Now the ones i just bought with the amber tint, i love those, even though it's a tad bit darker, i can game or scroll on my phone for long periods of time without any eye strain due to them blocking 100% blue light, and the sleep is outstanding. Both are good but it just depends on which one is your personal preference.

I've always contemplated buying blue light glasses for computer use but never wanted to buy something cheap. The Gunnar brand has always recommended to me by friends but it wasn't until having LASIK eye surgery and having to be in front of a computer all day for work that made me decide to pull the trigger and buy a pair. I've only had them for one day but I 100% love them. They are a comfortable fit on my bigger sized head. The nose bridge is comfortable enough to where I can forget that I'm even wearing the glasses. They are loose enough to not squeeze my head. They're also tight enough to not fall off my face. The quality is great too. A very solid built frame. They also work fantastically. I've been sitting in front of 4 computer screens for at least 4 hours now and I've not had to use eye drops or rub my eyes from exhaustion once. I even used them last night at home while playing on my Nintendo Switch in handheld mode with the lights off. My eyes didn't hurt once. Plain and simple, if you believe you need blue light glasses, then Gunnar is a great brand to use.

Like everything new, takes time for your eyes to adjust or it might just be me. Once I was used to the glasses. The glare from my computer is greatly reduced and my eyes feel better and less stressed from the computer blue light. Highly recommend these if you game or use computers a lot. I work as a wholesaler and constantly on the computer.

I had frequent headaches between increased screen time at work recently, watching TV with the kids, and trying to jam a few games in every week with some friends. I saw these glasses on sale one week and decided to give them a try. With extended screen time I’ve noticed that it’s easier to focus on whatever I’m viewing without feeling a need to adjust myself constantly as I had before. My eyes don’t hurt and i don’t get a headache after a couple rounds of Warzone, sifting through too many digital work orders, or a quick family movie. It also feels easier to track movement in games, almost like it helps even out borders and because they do filter blue light by design, images are far less washed out. I may buy a second pair for work now.

The quality of these glasses is great. The blue light reduction helps with eye strain for sure. The slight magnification was unexpected, but helps when staring at a screen. The magnification somewhat prevents you from wearing these away from a screen though as it feels weird walking around with them. Although, this is not a negative for the intended purpose of the glasses.

Highly recommend to anyone who feels they can't stare at a screen all day. I use these glasses and my eyes haven't felt tired yet. I just don't like the size. The frame is just a little too big for my face but it was all that was in stock and I needed it. Comfortable enough, I don't feel them on my nose. I don't normally wear glasses.

These are great for protecting your eyes from the harmful blue light emitted from tv's and monitors. The fit is comfortable, the lenses are oversized, and the amber tint brightens up objects on the monitor. My eyes feel less strained after a long gaming session. Definitely will buy again and recommend to others.

These glasses are really nice if you are going to be looking at a computer screen for more than 2 hours. It reduces the strain on your eye so after a few hours they do not feel dry and they also reduce blue light coming from a screen and they are comfortable to wear.

These are unbelievable. I am prone to eye strain and headaches, These help eliminate it. Really the comfort factor is incredible. They cut down the blue rays that enter the eyes causing strain. Feels like an eye massage. Very comfortable.

    I think they work?

To be honest, I have no idea if these actually help with eye strain or headaches. I think they do, but it’s been really hard to identify a direct cause and effect situation. They definitely filter out the blue light well, and I think the screen images look sharper while wearing these. The fit is great though, and they’re comfortable to wear. So I suppose if they are helping with eye strain or headaches, I have no problem continuing to use them and believing they’re helping.

The GOOD: I use a computer all day all day at work, then hit the XB1 before the wife gets home so it's a lot of screen time. These glasses are pretty solid and actually reduce the eye strain and keep your eyes from going blood shot. I originally got them b/c I had PRK lazer eye surgery, while they helped a great deal with the glare off of screens. Now I have a pair for work and a pair for home. The BAD: you def look stupid in them.

    Actual Eye Protection

I had LASIK eye surgery back in september 2019 and I hardly did anything in front of the TV until the quarantine and at that point my eyes would burn and become red within an hour or two of using them for shows or games, so I bought these glasses (the ones I bought for an even larger price from EyeBuyDirect did nothing to protect my eyes from the strain and wear of blue light from my TV), they arrived quickly and they make my eyes feel like nothing is happening to them, the color does change but it makes sun in games feel like a summer sun, nothing bad in my opinion. They may look kinda bulky but you will appreciate the space it covers for that extra protection. If I could adjust the percentage of blue light reduction when buying them that would be my only problem keeping them from being a 5 star review.

Somehow, they really do help when staring at a screen all day. My eyes don't feel as tired. Kind of like having a night light when waking up to the restroom vs turning on the main light. Not as much stress on your eyesight. Blocking off the blue light of the screen does help! The plastic feels really hard like if it could snap, but they seem sturdy enough and were at a good price.

For the longest time I have been waking up in the morning and just not get a good night sleep. Even worse when I would try and go to sleep I would just toss and turn for like an hour. I read somewhere (I forgot where) that blue light from electronic devices will screw up your ability to get good sleep. So I got a pair of these glasses and wore them for about a week. I started to see results, would wake up feeling refreshed and had more energy at the start of the day.
