Over the years I convinced my better half to try others, just to see if there was something better, only to find that after trying the new and different stuff that the H & R Block software was the best choice for our tax needs. We have tried over and over again to get the best refund (or pay as little extra as necessary) and had also found mistakes or simple oversights in rival software when we did try others. In a nutshell, if you want the best you can get, without having to live through the trial and error process we have made, just go with this and you won't be sorry later when you find out you missed out on something that would have lowered your tax obligations, or caused you to get flagged for an audit. This year's version is just like previous years versions, except it does add a consultant service "on demand" to help you with problems you may be having during your tax preparations. I would only tell you this based on my multiple years of experience with this software. Import previous year(s) tax returns, import your returns from competitive products, etc. All works like it should.
