Physical Copy It Isn't - No CD! Switching to T-Tax

Updates ok, downloading entire software problematic. The only thing physical about this appears to be the Box! Very disappointed with Block AND Best Buy for their description. Explanation of ecofriendly is just cost cutting! Get rid of Kcups and plastic water/soda bottles, THEN I'll believe we're saving the planet. I got a laptop with CD so I could use Block in CD format. I will be returning and switching to T-Tax. Don't fix what isn't broke!

Our product can just as easily be downloaded and installed on your device - or multiple devices. You do have a choice between buying an electronic version where you will be emailed a link and activation code, or you can purchase the physical boxed version that contains a printed URL with download instructions and activation code inside

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was frustrated with the fact that my state (Wisconsin) kept getting "update on or before <insert random date>" and then was pushed back. I was going to go file with another option as this was the first time I used H&R block but I figured I had the investment here so I may as well ride it out. I had the state and federal version, so of course I assumed like other software programs I purchased that, when I purchased the state version, let me FILE the state, that I'd be able to file here as well. But no. This is a joke, I had to pay an additional $20 to file the state. Why did I pay extra then to get the federal and state version? The software itself was fairly good, and understood some things that other software I've used in the past struggled with, such as my son only being a dependent for me every other year since the divorce has my ex and I alternating when we claim him. Yet since he lives by me the majority of the year I get to claim head of household regardless. This has been an issue in the past with some software. Also, I do reviews for another online reseller and so I get a 1099 from them with the tax value of the items I test. Every other tax software wants to try to force me into a schedule c business situation. H&R had, right there, the "hobby income" option that this falls under. But the moving of the goal posts for when the state would be done, then making me pay YET AGAIN to file my state even though I had the version for both federal and state, pretty much ensures I will never use this software again.

Company focused more on money than quality

Starting 2 years ago, the software started getting more confusing on items like Healthcare Savings Accounts. It was not clear if the amount was already accounted for or if you had to make manual adjustments. Last year was even worse and I spent more time trouble shooting than doing the taxes itself. I wound up getting hit with a $4k tax bill due to the errors. This year, H&R block seems more worried about the price than the quality of the product. I get the confusion over no CD, but charging $10 to get a CD?!?! It costs what, $1, to make and ship a CD? I would pay an extra buck or two for the CD, but it is clear H&R Block is spending their resources on getting every last dollar from their customers instead of putting out a quality product.

This SKU needs to be removed as it is not correct. Great software, just incorrect description as SKU has been eliinated by H&R Block per BBY customer service.

We have not included any text or language referring to the product including a disc this year.
