Story of a real hero of WWII. Very accurate except for 2 things. A little over dramatization on the bullying the soldier received as a conscientious objector....but the most amazing thing for a Hollywood recreation of an actual event...instead of "creating or enhancing " more heroic deeds than actually happened...the director actually didn't tell the whole amazing story because the real truth is so incredible that most movie goers wouldn't believe it.

We've all seen are share of movies about war, this one is a bit different than most as its about someone that refused to pick up a gun. I'm honestly not the biggest fan of Andrew Garfield, most of the roles I've seen him in I've found him to be annoying... particularly in the Spider Man movies, those movies should of been called the Annoying Spider Man. However, in this movie Garfield gives a great performance and I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

Fairly decent movie with pretty good acting if you like war movies.

The heroic legacy of Desmond Doss is vividly imagined in this breathtaking story of a young man who defied all odds to serve his country, while remaining true to his deepest convictions. While a few of the most remarkable moments were actually altered to be more believable, this film captures the unstoppable spirit of one Army medic, voluntarily unarmed in the midst of a chaotic and deadly war, and recklessly determined to save just one more life.

A. Its based on truth B. Outstanding picture and aound When the battle shios fire there dexk guns the percussion and explosions on the mountain top is a demo that will rattle the pictures off the wall in other parts of the house. Excellent movie and the Steel box is alwyas a great touch

The story is amazing. The movie feels a bit like a foreign film in tone and quality. Most of the actors playing Americans are British or Australian and they are not entirely convincing as American southerners. It has very violent, realistic, war scenes so it's not for kids. Mel Gibson is a talented director but as good as the movie is it doesn't live up to amazing true story. The Blu-Ray quality is very good and the Dolby Atmos sound is excellent.

I really enjoyed this movie. It was easily one of the best of 2016 in my opinion. After watching this movie, you have a greater appreciation for the veterans of WW2 and what they went through. It's no wonder many do not want to talk about their time in the war considering some of the things they have seen. Not recommended at all for children due to the graphic war scenes, but a great movie, and true story about definitely the greatest generation.

good war movie and 4k format presents the best picture and sound

A good movie to own. Inspirational. Must see for everyone.

This is a great story of a man that stuck to his morals, was chastised for it, but had the opportunity to prove to everyone that he was the genuine real deal that kept going to save his fellow soldiers when everyone else gave up and went home. It is truly amazing the way God graces him to become the hero he is. Film and actors are pretty good too.

The movie is great by itself and in 4K everything comes to life.

This one is for the whole family for sure from Dad to Mom and the kids. From beginning to end, The story is great and based on a true story as well makes it even better! This story shows that with belief in yourself and a little bit of help from above, Great things can be accomplished...as great people are walking Among Us everyday.

A graphic depiction of the horror that our Navy and Marine heroes had to go through in the Pacific during one WWII ongoing battle. It is the story of a medic who reused to bear arms against the enemy, but still saved countless lives doing his duty on an island held by the Japanese who would not give up a hill top called Hacksaw Ridge. If Saving Private Ryan made you queasy, you'll need to close your eyes through most of this one.

This is a true story about a Medal of Honor winner, who save many lives in one of the toughest battles of WWII. Very good portrayal of both the battle and the man at the center of the story, with an excellent portrayal of what led him to be in the battle as well as some follow-up of his life after the war. Heart-warming and patriotic, while also showing the human side of war (the good and the bad) through the eyes of a true hero.

the imagery is unbelieveable. Mel Gibson did a great job

Anyone who has yet to see "Hacksaw Ridge" and can look at one hero's story with an unflinching eye (due to war violence), then a point must be made to watch this important film. Normally, some reviews would speak of picture and sound qualities. That's all in check to high marks; which allows one to focus solely on the biographical story of this more than unique individual who served within our armed forces.

A Must See Movie! A Great True Story About a WWII Hero! I didn’t quite know what to expect when I heard about this movie, but later found it to be a wonderful romantic and World War II true story later turned into an action packed movie. I recommend seeing this movie in the 4K - Ultra HD format as it really brings out the best in the movie!

This film has a lot of action...Good story line. RECOMMEND

Enjoy movies based on true stories, this is a must have. This movie also gives you a brutal perspective on what the real men and women went, and go through today to supply us with the freedoms that we enjoy in the United States. When this man was abused, insulted and offended, he got back up and gave everything. Just because someone is different does not mean they do not offer value in life. Thank a veteran next time you see one.
