Great price and film. All around very good story!!!

A true story of a real WW2 hero who saved about a hundred soldier's lives. Conscious objecter but who really had an impact on the war even though they didn't want to accept him because of his beliefs. I think that this movie should have won the best movie of the year because this is a masterpiece and not the one that won the Oscar. Just another Hollywood farse once again. I hope you get to see this movie.

One of the best films I have seen in years. How one person could do so much for so many is just unbelievable. The story of Desmon Doss will stay with you for many years. The sacrifices during one of the bloodiest wars of all time and the friends Private Doss made along the way were truly heart felt. A great story, a tearjerker without a doubt but a true story that will remain with you for a very long time.

This movie reflects the strong morals some still hold strongly to. When persecuted most of us tend to collapse and give in. Hacksaw Ridge is the true story of a man that did not collapse but used his moral recollection to save the lives of many in Okinawa Japan. I wish this story wouldn't have went untold for so many years. (does show the reality of war so it's not recommended for the faint of heart)

Mel Gibson did an excellent job telling this true story about PFC Desmond T. Doss. There is a lot of blood & guts, shooting and blowing things up, but that happens in a war. You feel a connection with Doss from the beginning and can feel his ups and downs along the way. Be prepared because it will bring a tear or two. At the end you get to see some of the real people from this story. Very good movie.

Hacksaw Ridge is the incredible true story of the first Conscientious Objector to receive the Medal of Honor. It is a harrowing story about a man who will not touch a gun because of his religious beliefs but wants to do his part to support the US during World War II. It starts slowly, but once the war scenes begin, this movie grabs you and does not let go. An excellent movie about a truly remarkable man.

Lionsgate continues its steak of amazing 4K steelbooks with this gorgeous release. The slipcover and amazing artwork complement each other perfectly. This is one of my favorite World War II movies in recent memory and this steelbook is a treasured addition to any collection.

Hacksaw Ridge is a long overdue telling of the heroism of a medic during World War 2 who displayed all that is noble and courageous in the human spirit during the epic confrontation with Japan at Iwo Jima. It is gruesome in the extreme (as Mel Gibson's movies tend to be), but it features reference quality audio and video, assuming your display /audio system can properly reproduce it. Highly recommended!

I have seen a lot of war movies over my years I'm talking John Wayne, Audie Murphy you name them I've most likely seen them. But nothing surprised me more how outstanding this movie was. The whole cast was phenomenal and the cinematography was astounding. What got to me is how it took them like 14yrs to make this movie because Dessmond Doss would not sell the rights to the movie. Just an AMAZING movie.

Easily one of the best WWII movies. I’m not going to review the story of the movie itself, as I am not a professional critic, but as a fan I can’t assure you this is a story you do not want to miss. The 4K quality and audio is truly amazing. If you have a home theater set up at home, this is one of the best movies you can watch to test the limits of your system.

Wow, Desmond Doss is what we all should want to emulate. Through his unwavering faith and relying on God's supernatural abilities to lead, guide and protect him as he(Desmond)served God and his fellow man. Now that's SERVICE. He didn't let circumstances dictate his relationship and calling from God obscure his MISSION. A MUST SEE. GREATFUL FOR HIS SERVICE. All ages with explanation and assistance...

I bought this Movie to test out my Samsung Ultra 4K TV and soundbar with surround sound and Subwoofer and I was blown away! This movie looks amazing in 4K Ultra HD and sounds incredible. This movie is not for anyone with a weak-stomach, very violate and graphic..but seems like a very good perspective of what it was like to go to war. It gives me, even more, respect for our Veterans.

I love this movie and it looks great but it only plays in Dolby. I'm shocked that any blu-ray that comes out these days would not have True HD audio. It's really annoying. Most of the reason I watch blu-rays is for the great sound so it's disappointing.

This movie tells the true story of Desmond Doss. He was a conscientious objector during WWII that saved countless lives by performing as a medic. What he had to endure to get to Hacksaw Ridge and after can hardly be believed. I watched a documentary about him shortly after viewing the film and the movie is spot on.

Up until now, Saving Private Ryan was the most graphic war movie I have seen. Hacksaw Ridge is a true story of war with so much realism, it could make the weak sick. I was lucky to have served 20 years and only went to war once; the 1st Gulf War. Being behind the front lines, I didn't have to see the destruction of a human beings except when sent out to recover body parts after a plane crash.

Great movie, inspiring, sobering and enlightening. The battle scenes were horrific, the story was endearing and heart-breaking. The message of conviction was strong. The fact that this is a true story is amazing. This guy was a true hero among men but more importantly was a true servant of the God he loved and served first.

One of the best of recent WW2 movies rank up the with Flags of Our Fathers and Letter from Iwo Jima but this one was all true! The true incredible true story of conscientious objector Desmond Doss was as true to his actual story as it could get> The Bluray extras include a documentary about the movie in which his grandson stated that he actually thought it was his grandparents on the screen

This movie is without doubt one of the most moving WWII movies I have seen. I spent 21 + years in the Army, served in Vietnam, and watching this movie I became so engrossed in what was presented. I would recommend this DVD to anyone and everyone, regardless of military service or not. You will not be sorry with your purchase so you can watch it again and again, which is what I plan on doing.

5 Stars are not really enough to give to this incredible true story. Andrew Mccarthy is truly amazing in this movie. Best role I have ever seen him portray. Never knew how good of an actor he is until I watched this. I don't want give away any plot points here but all I can do is highly recommend it.

I'm a fan of WWII movies so this was a no-brainer when I found it as a Black Friday special. I did not think any movie would ever surpass Saving Private Ryan for gore, but this one does. However, it is a war movie so that is to be expected. This soldier's story is incredible and the movie is very well done. A little too much Hollywood at times, but overall a great WWII movie.
