This is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. It is based on true events in the life of s true American hero, a Medal of Honor recipient from WWII. The action is believable and the horrors of war is so realistic. what one man determined could and did accomplish is nothing but amazing. A must see movie.

Hacksaw Ridge is not only a great story and movie but it also has great picture and sound quality. For video quality HDR is fantastic. For sound quality the Dolby Atmos is incredible. This 4K UHD Blu-Ray is a must have especially for the price of $9.99

Great film, beautiful steel. Also, Best Buy used a box with an air pillow for the second time. This is how you should continue to package these products. Bubbler mailers and thin cardboard is not acceptable.

In a world full of weapons a person decides o give up on those and still help casualties of the war. This is by far the best example of a movie which speaks beyond its picture. At first I wasn't sure if actor will do justice to the role but I was blown away by everybody in this act. Definitely a must watch.

The movie actually depicts the horrors of war that probably might offend someone, but also is a very heart warming movie that gives attention to many personal believes. In this case, provides a true story of an individual who was a conscientious objector, and the trials and tribulations he had to go through.

Is also a great war movie, maybe since saving private Ryan. Hardc to find anything bad about this movie.

This movie has been compared to "Saving Private Ryan". I think I'd say it's better. Character development in this one is better, and Andrew Garfield does an excelled job as Desmond Doss. It's a war movie, so it has its brutal moments, but this is and excellent movie. If you're thinking about it, buy it now!

I watch a lot of war movies. This one is a must see. Great story and acting. Being based on a true story really makes you feel for the characters. Thank you to all our military. You are heroes!

This was an in your face look at war and how one man fought for the right to serve and avoid handling a firearm. While being harassed by the rank and file and dealing with outside pressures of an family that is dysfunctional. An inspiring look at a very noble man! Thank you Mel Gibson for an excellent story!

This movie is a great feel good, faith based, inspirational tale...oh wait it actually happened....AMAZING movie, well put together, it comes 2nd on my top War movies Private Ryan being number one. What an amazing spin on the perspective of war through this war hero. Get it , buy it , watch it for the ages.

I first saw this movie as a rental and knew I needed to see it in 4K on my big screen - WOW ! After purchasing the Sony - UBP-X800 - Streaming 4K Ultra HD 3D Hi-Res Audio Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-ray Player, I selected this as the movie to purchase and watch in 4K. Great story, great movie, great quality . . .

This riveting movie will leave you in awe of the job this man did in the war and how he stuck to his convictions, even if you may not agree with it. He served his country well and is a true hero. The interviews at the end of the movie from the actual people were great. Love this movie and HIGHLY recommend it.

This was a pretty awesome movie. The effects are great and the storyline is easy to follow. Even if you haven't been in the military this movie puts things in a way that the average person can follow. I also enjoyed the commentary from the individual that the story is based on at the end of the movie.

Not only is Hacksaw Ridge one of the greatest war-movies of all time, but it is truly one of the greatest stories ever told. With unbelievably realistic battles, as well as one of the most insrirational people of the greatest generation as its central character, I loved EVERY MINUTE of this instant classic.

Love this movie. I was in tears and left breathless. This gentleman did a lot for this fellow soldiers when it came to saving them. He is definitely a HERO in my eyes and my family's eyes! This movie was yet another awesome movie done by Mel Gibson! Love his movies. One of my favorite directors out there.

Based on true events, this film takes place during World War II. It has all the components of a great movie: script, cast, acting and action. The battle scenes are sometimes get pretty intense so I would not recommend this for youngsters. The film is a great tribute to a true war hero.

This movie does a great job of dealing with a subject that was not well known during this time period. The lead character of Desmond Doss remained true to his convictions till the end. He was successful in accomplishing his goals and becoming a was hero. The scenes were amazing in their portrayal of war.

A true story about courage and bravery. Unexpectedly funny in the right places. It is a tense and moving movie about a real life hero. Don't be put off by the R rating, as there is nothing gratuitous here, just the realities of war. The last war movie I saw that was this good was Saving Private Ryan.

Based on a true story this is a well done, sensitive account of a WWII hero determined to value the gift of life. Excellently done, thought provoking and humbling this story puts together the concept of faith and commitment to that faith in the midst of an extraordinarily violent environment. A must see!
