I enjoyed the story and the intense battle scenes overwhelmed me. Mel Gibson did a good job. What made it more enjoyable was that I never heard of this soldier and his trials and tribulations to declare himself a conscientious objector, but yet serve in battle.

Even if A-war movie isn't your thing it's a true story and you'll like it

Hacksaw Ridge is definitely a tear jerker. This movie depicts war in such a gritty and visceral way.
