Well acted, true story but found it slow, at times, and Mel Gibson's salute to veterans was hypocritical. Unless, veterans are those he actually accepts as human beings. Loved his American accent during his salute.

Interesting story line... It felt a little forced. It is no Schindler's List! Solid entertainment... Personally I think it's a bit WACK to enter a war-zone un-armed... but hey, that's me...

It was a good movie but the fact that he wouldn't carry a gun in some cases might have had endangered his fellow soldiers. Good to watch I I own it but May not watch it much

Bought this for the Star Wars Collection. The Blu-ray is very good but it has to be one my least favorite Star Wars movie as was the Force Awakens. I don't like the cinematography

What a story. Never underestimate the heart of a person.

Movie looks great in 4k. Maybe there was too much hype behind this movie but it was just ok. The action scenes were good. I would rent not buy this movie

One of those violent, just to be violent movies. It goes over the top with production on gore and grizzly action. The story is what you should stay for.

The actual story and filming of the movie were great, but there were some goofy scenes. It is supposed to be a serious movie, but I laughed during the scene when the drill instructor gets dragged to the ridge while he's firing the rifle taking out a bunch of the enemy. Vince Vaughn going all spray and pray on some Japanese soldiers was comical. Now, if this really happened, good for the movie to depict that, but on film it came off as goofy Hot-Shots-Part-Deux-ish.

I really didn't get to pay full attention to the movie so my rating isn't reflexing of my true thoughts just a reaction to what i actually watched.

The movie is a little slow in getting going-but when it does, it knocks you over the head. Very well done story and great acting.

Good movie but some of the actors that were chosen for this movie could've been questioned

This film is a long way from the days of Braveheart. Gibson has always been part hokum, part torture p*rn in his storytelling, but perhaps never as much as here and at his least cohesive. Much of the beginning is spent developing a love interest for no apparent reason or return. Vince Vaughn is grossly miscast. Battle sequences are where the direction shine, if not indulge in some sadistic depictions of war's casualties. Disc looks great.

Had some issues at the beginning of the movie such as frame freezing and no sound. Happened several other times while watching.

I think the movie was ok. I bought it because my friend was raving about it. its good, but I think it was way over-hyped.

The movie was ok. The acting was tolerable. My wife enjoyed the movie more than I did. She would give it 4/5 stars.

Deserving of the Oscar buzz it received. One of Eastwood's best IMO and Andrew Garfield is extraordinary in it.

This is just a remake of "Sergeant York". WWII instead of WWI, better special effects but not as good of a story.

War movie, but with a different slant. Main character is a conscientious objector, yet becomes a war hero.

Not too crazy about the religious overtones but it is a mel Gibson movie. Overall good movie.

As stated above, I have not viewed the 2 DVD's yet, but I am sure they are of goo quality. Thank you.
