Customer Ratings & Reviews

Great movie! Highly recommended. Outstanding performances by all involved. If you like stories regarding true american heroes, then this movie is for you.

Movie was awesome from start to finish. It was better then Full Metal Jacket. Highly recommend this movie even if your not into war movies.

Amazing story of one man's commitment to the cause and his personal beliefs set in a brutal backdrop of war. Kudos to entire cast and crew.

i would recommend watching this movie. it feels like a WW@ being fought in the Pacific, which it is. it accomplishes the goal of telling the story of the combat medic and some points it even exceeds expectations of humor. the story is not uber-deep but it does a fine job and the sound is pretty good with explosions and directional gunfire.

Purchased this movie at Bestbuy for $14.99 and added to my collection. I like this movie! There are lots of positive review of this movie online as well.

This movie is the next saving private Ryan. Great story, no dull moments. Great audio, no surround sound required. Best of all, good action and suspense!

... most realistic and uplifting WWII joint since "saving private ryan."... ... WARNING: ... extreme GRAPHIC VIOLENCE; not appropriate for some people...

Excellent movie - the GREATEST GENERATION at its best. A true story of a true hero. A lesson for the ages - life, faith, & courage - during a time of war.

I go to Best Buy for my movies because they always have the movie I want in stock (not having to wait for it or order it) and the prices are resasonable.

It's a little on the violent side, and not suitable for all children. It is well written, and an excellent portrayal of the events on Hacksaw Ridge.

The clarity, sound, and attention to detail portrayed on the Blu_ray DVD"s was excellent. We had followed the heroic actions of Desmond Doss,.

I saw this in the movie theater. I enjoyed the great story about a real person It was a great piece of filmmaking. Could watch it over and over again.

I loved this in the theatre and couldn't wait to get the blu ray. An amazing story of an amazing American hero! If you haven't seen this movie go see it!

Great war movie with a good moral thread throughout. We should all be so morally convicted and then willing to stick to those convictions no matter what.

Whenever there are sales on newer movies I always jump at the opportunity to buy movies. I wanted to see this movie and was glad with the price of it.

Best war picture since Private Ryan. Well worth your time. This story is closely based on a true one and this only makes the story more compelling.

An excellent cast, led by a fantastic performance by the often underrated Andrew Garfield, portrays the real-life story of a soldier who refused to carry a weapon and instead went into battle as a corpsman who'd risk life and limb to save numerous fellow soldiers. Gritty, realistic war scenes and more, all well directed by Mel Gibson.

Instant classic with a great storyline and the slight love that is needed for a war movie. Has a fantastic story that makes you say "just one more"

This is a great movie. It is not for anyone that can’t stand seeing blood, but that should obvious since it is a war movie. Based on a true story.

Love this movie a the true story of a hero. Interview at the end adds so much
