I had to add this movie to my two story collection good movie it didn’t disappoint

One of my favorites l, I would definitely recommend to anyone who likes war movies.

I have to say I'm a bit of a WWII nerd. I love learning about it and I especially appreciate watching film adaptations. I was first interested in Hacksaw Ridge after seeing trailers for it but did not have the opportunity to see it in theaters. I picked up the Blu-ray one day on a whim while at Best Buy and I can definitely say it was a very good decision. The film can be a bit slowly paced at the beginning and takes a good portion of the film to get to any actual battle sequences but you definitely know why it takes that long by the end of the film and it will certainly tug at your heartstrings. Buyers and viewers beware. This movie is not for the faint of heart or the squeamish. There's a lot of realistic war violence in this film so be prepared for some very intense sequences. Overall it's a very, very good film about a WWII Medal of Honor recipient that I'd never learned about in school but I'm glad that I know about him now. Definitely check it out if you're in to war films, history, or if you're just feeling patriotic.

Based on a true story war movies are always good and this one did not disappoint.

Great movie based on a true story. Andrew Garfield is superb. Great direction by Mel Gibson.

This was by far the greatest war movie I've ever seen since Saving Private Ryan. In fact it might've been the greatest war movie I have ever seen. Andrew Garfield gives an incredible performance, the story goes along at a perfect pace, and the action is some of the best you'll see on screen. As much as I loved Saving Private Ryan, a lot of it was fictitious. Of course the war was real but the characters and in fact Private Ryan himself was a fictional character. While Hacksaw Ridge on the other hand is all based in reality every character is based on a person who really lived through World War II. So in my opinion that makes Hacksaw Ridge a much more powerful film. This is truly one of those films that comes along every decade or two that will become the default answer for people's favorite film of all time. When you ask someone what their favorite film is you consistently here Braveheart, Saving Private Ryan, Forest Gump, The Godfather, Citizen Kane, and get ready to hear Hacksaw Ridge more often as this film is seen by more people.

Great movie. I enjoyed watching it. I especially like the option of Blu-Ray + DVD.

Great movie for military veterans and collectors and for great Memorial Day movies
