This movie was a little slow in the beginning. As you watch it just remember they go back through his childhood. Once the movie gets going it will hold your interest. Then you realize this is based on a true story.

Really enjoyed this movie. I am a history freak and this really hits home.

This is a really good war movie that was based on a true story from the war.

I have an oled tv and an Xbox one with a 4K blu ray player. The picture quality is great and this is the first movie I watched on my setup. The movie is interesting and has some visually stunning scenes as well. The fact that it is based on a true story and has many true to history facts and scenes was a big plus for me. The main thing I did not like is that they very obviously copy full metal jacket on a few scenes which was a huge downside for me. Overall, not a bad movie but not up there with other war movies such as Saving Private Ryan or Full Metal Jacket etc.

If you like war films based upon fact vs. fiction this is a good watch.
