This is one of the best WW IIMovies I have seen, and I have watched a lot of them. One man's courage to stand up for his faith/beliefs, sometimes bringing the wrath of others. In the end, every man was glad he was there for them. He even saved the lives of some Japanese.

This movie tells the true story of a man who wanted to serve in WW II but not use a weapon. He went on to win the Medal Of Honor for his exploits on Okinawa, the most savage land battle of the Pacific war. Another great job by Mel Gibson, reminiscent of We Were Soldiers.

This is a moving story that everyone must see. Through tragedy and pain, a young man becomes a hero in the most inexplicable ways. Forging a path of hope and strength, through a war of epic proportions, a man finds strength of character and love all without firing a gun.

This movie truly strikes a chord. Perfectly done and hits every mark on what one wants to see out of such an impactful event in the history of the United States. Well done in homage to an honorable veteran

The character back ground setup and historical revaluations are impressively done. Each cast member met their role perfectly. A must see movie for anyone that wants to relive/understand the individual sacrifices given freely to make our country great and to be proud of.

I think Mel Gibson is a good director and has the ability to bring a story to life. Though war movies are not happy tales, they make you appreciate how we do not have to be in the midst of a war zone. The service people who go into a war should be appreciated more.

Hacksaw Ridge is one of the best war films that I have seen. My wife and I saw the movie in the theater and now purchased it. Excellent acting, excellent true story and a horrific and real depiction of war. Captivating movie from beginning to end, I highly recommend it.

Hacksaw Ridge is one of those movies that you don't want to miss! I missed the movie the first time that it was in theaters, and wish that I hadn't. I love how this is not a regular war movie, but it is a good one. One that should not be missed!

This movie showed the true war and the results of it to those who never experience combat. the hero showed his true self even thought he refused to touch a weapon. Will watch again to get what I didn't see the first time. Not for people who abhorrer blood and violence.

I saw this movie in the theater and immediately put it on my list to buy when it came out on Blu-ray. A great story that shows bravery does not have to come from carrying a gun into battle. This shows the indomitable spirit of someone with strong personal convictions.

I generally don't like war movies, but this one is definately worth seeing. It is about one man, who refused to conform to military standards of carrying a weapon and his journey that ended with him saving many men. The best part is that it's based on a true story.

A true hero. Amazing story of human strength and determination! I could've never done what this guy did and endured. A must watch! This movie shows you what a person is capable of in order to live by their own convictions and moral standards.

A movie you must see and own for sure. Available on 4k steelbook for a great price. No regrets on this purchase. Get your copy before it's gone for good.

This movie is amazing!! There's a reason that it was nominated for best picture. The acting in this is top notch I to say the least. Didn't get the chance to watch it in theatres but it doesn't matter because now I can watch it as many times and at any time I want!

One of the best told war stories ever and best of all it was based on a TRUE story of a real American Hero. This is one of the most moving films I have ever seen and you truly feel the pain these youg men endured. This should have won Film of the Year hands down.,

I really really really liked this movie. I would recommend getting the 4K one though as the difference will blow your mind once you see it on a 4K HDR TV. I do not regret getting the bluray one but I just really enjoyed seeing the 4K one that my brother in law got.

Not much of a war movie fan. Having said this I absolutely love this movie. Mel Gibson has done an amazing job of telling a story about a man and his convictions and showing us the horrors of war . Love this movie and have seen it multiple times.

If you enjoy war movies and movies about courageous people, this one is for you. A man who stood up for his faith and never touched a weapon is the hero of this movie. His solid stand for God is a wonderful testimony to anyone today who struggles with their faith.

Hacksaw Ridge could easily have won the Best Picture Award at the Oscar's. More than just a war movie as it brought to light those who were conscientious objectors but still had their place in the military. Oh, by the way, did I mention this was a real life story.

The movie is really good. Pretty realistic compared to most war movies made now a days. True story, which I love. Also, quality of the 4K is great and the Atmos sound was done very well. Very cool to hear the gun fire coming from all around during the battle.
