This movie draws you in deeper as it moves along. By the end of the movie you can't believe how truly brave this man was & how much he accomplished by himself. I loved it as much as Band Of Brothers. Once again Mel Gibson gives us a movie to relish.

A great movie, truly well done, the director and producer did wonderful work portraying the story without straying away from the truth. A few slow parts but a gripping intro and ending, overall it kept you glued to the screen.

Great 4k movie to add to your 4k Blu-ray collection. The Dolby atmos implementation is quite fantastic and will test out your Dolby atmos setup. Add this to the list of Dolby atmos enabled movies.

Should have been Best Pictures award. War at it's best is terrible to all concerned the man being portrayed was an unique individual who stood by his beliefs even when his fellow soldiers were giving him duress eventually winning the respect of all.

the fact that this hero never wanted credit or glory for all that he did just adds to the amazing factor. the movie was so well done, and without the typical overage of profanity and other scenes you might have to shield young eyes from. 10 stars!

I don’t usually watch a lot of war movies, but have lately with my husband. This one is hands down an awesome movie!! I was definitely engaged completely and would watch again in a heartbeat!!

buying this movie along with another movie thru Best Buy was the best thing that I have done in a very long time!!!! from ordering these movies, to shipping, to receiving....well everything went quickly....most certainly I was NOT disappointed!!!!

Astounding movie - greatest war movie I've ever seen since Saving Private Ryan. It was a powerful and moving movie which delivers a power full message of love, loyalty, integrity to our faiths. I purchased this movie for my mother who loved it!

I'm not a veteran myself.but I enjoy war movies.What made this movie enjoyable is that it actually happened.I don't want to tell you about this movie and give anything away,but I would rank it right up there with SAVING PRIVATE RYAN.A must see !!

I bought this DVD/Blu Ray because I am a fan of history. I was astonished at the amazing story of this young man who went to war in the south Pacific as a medic and the riveting story behind his courage and heroism. Amazing is an understatement.

Wooooow. A brave loyal, Godly man. A MAN that puts GOD first before anything. A warrior, fearless soldier. A truthful man. The movie is not like every movie, it's a MUST SEE.

My wife and I saw this movie in the theater. I was blown away on how good the movie was. I vowed to get the Blu-Ray the day the movie was released and that is what I did. The Blu-Ray is just as good. This movie should of won picture of the year!

One of the best War/Military movies to date! Andrew Garfield puts on one of his best performances as Desmond Doss! This will forever be one of my favorites

When it is a true story of convictions and bravery it stands up with the best. Such as Sargeant York. Mel Gibson has brought the realities and how terrible war really is to the big screen for the second time. We Were Soldiers being the first.

I have always had great respect for the greatest generation but after seeing this, I have even more. Great movie and a great man. In a world of chaos and poor examples, this man is one to idolize. Thank you for making a movie about his service.

Well written, beautifully shot, amazing cinematic effects. Gibson did a great job with this film. A very powerful story and almost unimaginable that this was based on true events. I put it up there with Saving Private Ryan and We Were Soldiers.

This is a terrific true story of an American war hero. Even though we like Mel Gibson as an actor, he is also an outstanding director as well.

Is different but good movie based off a solider who was opposed to having a gun but was hero in end saving people

A movie that must be seen by all. A look at a true hero in WWII. An interesting twist as he is a pacifist who felt he must be part of the war. The battle seems are horrific but help tell the story.
