Forget who won the Academy Awards this year!! Desmond Doss' story should have received the honors that it deserved, both for Best Picture of the Year and Best Actor. Andrew Garfield was fabulous!!

I loved every minute of and I’m so happy I got this on sale during early Black Friday access for only 7.99 gotta love those deals when they come around. 4K movies are not cheap!

I knew the movie was good but once I saw it I was amazed at how the action was shot and I was not expecting it to be emotionally moving. The picture quality is awesome and the only downside to this release is the small amount of special features. There is an hour long documentary or bts of the making of the movie, some deleted scenes, and a Veterans Day greeting video from Mel Gibson so its not too bad.

I am a huge movie buff, I always liked movies like Saving Private Ryan and We Were Soldiers, so this movie ranks right up there with them. The 4k and hdr bring out some great detail and color.

Lionsgate does an incredible job with their steelbook releases. This isn't the most amazing but still looks great

This is a story that all Americans should know about. It shows the great resolve that our soldiers had back in WWII. The type of resolve that all soldiers need to have to destroy our enemies.

I have seen "Hacksaw Ridge" previously on blu-ray, and I really liked this movie. So now that I got it in 4K, I can't wait to watch it again. I am sure I will be blown away by the picture.

Guess I would say to readers that while done well it is also gory due to being war film But it is inspiring and shows one with great faith doing something unbelievable Definitely recommend it

Excellent movie, telling the story of a conscientious objector who was awarded the Medal of Honor in WW 2. Not for the squeamish, however. Very graphic violence. Video and audio are top-notch.

The movie was great from start to finish. The audio format and arrangement was outstanding. I am much more appreciative of my new tv and sound system after watching this movie.

This movie is amazing! The story of Desmond Doss wanting to serve his country while holding his convictions was very inspiring. The film was based on a true story which makes it more captivating. Great acting, well written with a lot of graphic gory scenes. One of the best war films since "Saving Private Ryan." I don't see how this movie got ignored at the Oscars. Mel Gibson did a terrific job with this.

An imposing war film that is very close to the classics of the genre and the spectacular return of Mel Gibson to the direction. Interesting story I knew nothing about before watching this film

Mel Gibson has done another wonderful job with an action movie based on a true story! Besides demonstrating the horrors of war, he tells us the story of an incredible brave man. Thank you Mel!

Awesome movie. Graphics are great. Story is really well written. Explains what the movie is about and how one person becomes a hero.

My husband and I really enjoyed this movie. This movie really show's how one person can rely on GOD and believe in the Ten Commandments so strongly. GOD brought him back. Really an awesome movie.

With so many movies available on cable, pay for view and streaming, I rarely purchase a DVD. This is one I wanted to own so I could easily watch it multiple times and I am very happy I did.

Very nicely written movie. I thought it started a little slow but appreciated the family history later on. I always love movies based on a true story. Especially liked the interview at the end.

I've always liked movies directed by Mel Gibson, and such a good actor too. In this movie he doesn't play any characters but the way he directed it, made me want to watch it over and over again.

What a great movie, something for everybody. Great battle scenes, a clash of philosophies, a story about character. Mel Gibson creates another classic based on a true story too great to believe.

Best movie I've seen in a while. Bought on my son's suggestion, watched with him, then he took it back to school with him. Definitely will watch again, but have to wait for the semester to end..
