A great movie. Graphic violence may upset some viewers. Otherwise, I cannot fault it. Good story, good acting, good props in keeping with the era (autos, buildings, dress fashions, etc.).

Awesome story that everyone should know about. Too bad the real person behind the story passed before this movie was released - he would have been quite pleased and honored.

Hacksaw Ridge was the best movie of the year and I couldn't wait until it came out on DVD!! Andrew Garfield was excellent! And Mel Gibson delivered an outstanding war movie!! Excellent!!

Hacksaw Ridge is an excellent movie that highlights Action Faith. Plenty of action and plenty of faith. I wish more movies about the reality of Christianity were produced by Hollywood.

Excellent retelling of a great story! A must see...Great story with amazing special effects. Actual clips at the end and interviews really make this a great story that needed to be told.

It is hard to imagine someone going through the battle side of the story much less what happened before. In inspiration of a man standing up for his faith and belief and a true story.

Very poignant war movie based on a true story. The cinematography is top notch showing that you can be a true hero without having to use violence against violence. Highly recommended.

I enjoy movies that are based on true stories. This movie told the story about an individual that did not want to pick up arms but wanted to save lives instead. I truly enjoyed the movie

This movie really puts you in the boots on the front line. Really interesting perspective as well. Really went down a rabbit hole reading about the medic... great man!

Interesting choices were made by Mel in this movie. There is an old school feel, as though made in the era it takes place. Some lines are corny and some lines are great. It felt like the first part of Captain America the first Avenger, as the story progress, you feel Mel shows up. It isn't anything like what Mel has directed before. I enjoyed the film but had to temper my expectations .

It is a shame that Americans do not know this man's name or story. War movie is far from the best ever but it is a story every Amercian needs to see. A stellar American History lesson.

I have heard these stories before, and read a few but did not really get the impact of the stories until I saw it come alive in this film! I am very impressed with the entire project!!

Based on a true story, another example of the proverbial you cannot judge a book by its cover. Very dramatic and historically informative.
