Really interesting beginning as the hero's pre-combat story is told. Then it grabs you for non stop action. A true story of an exceptional man.

Let me preface by sayin many people told me Hacksaw Ridge was a great movie so I had high expectations coming in. The last 20-30 minutes of the movie is great, the first 1.5 hours seems to build to that. Love story is spot on. Something was just missing, it was good but not great (maybe expectations were too high).
