It is an amazing looking period war film. Beautifuly directed and edited. It was in my top 3 movies of the year. Only behind The Nice Guys and Manchester by the Sea. The only reason it wasn't higher on my list is the religious aspects feel heavy handed at time. But, it is the best war film I've ever seen.

Hacksaw was a great and uplifting true story, with great special effects. The 4K bluray is great, and is loaded with bonus features.

Really the only word for this movie is intense. Not sure how much poetic license was taken, but I know it's based on a true story.

Good DVD set. The movie is good, although it clearly tells the story of a very brutal war.

I love this movie. It is probably comparable to a Saving Private Ryan, but this one is an actual true story if you do the research.

This movie is based of the true story of a hero of WWII. He didn't believe in using a gun. The story will make you cry and cheer.

I bought this because a recommendation from my family member who told me it was a great movie. The story line was good because its based on a true story. I gave it 4 stars because I had a hard time taking Vince Vaughn in a serious role and was waiting for him to bust out in his comedy.
