This is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. Very realistic. Mel Gibson didn't sugarcoat the horrors of war.

Great movie. Very graphics but a great story. Soldiets wete very tough during WWII.

Although the production does not compare with other great WWII movies such as, Saving Private Ryan, A Bridge too Far or Patton, the movie does deserve consideration as it is the true life story of a very humble man and true American Hero. It spite of over whelming odds Desmond Doss managed to remain true to both his personal beliefs and principals and at the same time he served his Country with unwavering bravery and dedication to duty. The movie itself fell short in that many of its props and sets were only fair. One scene in which a US Battleship was suppose to be providing artillery support for Army personnel made me feel as though I was watching an Xbox video game! However, In spite of its flaws I would recommend the movie as the life story of Desmond Doss deserves to be told to all.

For those who support the military or are against what the military stands for....Hacksaw Ridge is a must see for anyone.

This was a really good movie about one man's desire to help others. I wish we could all have the heart that this man had.
