I was dubious about ignoring Halloween 2 (the rest of the series is disposable) but the movie makes perfect sense. The character development for Laurie is fantastic. Laurie having paranoid breakdowns about Michael yet overcoming that to try and have a relationship with her estranged family works well in showing her to be a "normal" person and not an action movie star.

I didn't plan on purchasing this from the product pictures on best buy's site, but I saw it in-store one day and was taken back by how nice it was. The SteelBook has a great finish and the movie turned out to be pretty good as well. This is a welcomed addition to my collection

I don’t buy steelbooks very often but this one was just awesome looking. Comes with both the 4K blu ray and standard blu ray. Also included is a digital code for watching on the go. Movie quality itself it great in 4K and it is one of the best sequels to the original Halloween.

I enjoyed this when I saw it in theaters and wanted to add it to the collection, especially since Halloween is not too far down the road. Even though this is kind of a reimagining in terms of a sequel, this is still a more enjoyable movie than the last 4 at least.

Great Movie Thriller! This continuation of the movie has been well planned out over the past years still keeping you guessing and on the edge of your seat sleeping with one eye open! I would recommend this movie to anyone who’s eager to walk down a dark road at night alone...

Being a huge horror buff, Halloween was always my favorite. When I heard they were making a squeal after all these years, I was so excited. This movie did not disappoint me in any way. I've already heard rumors about another one coming soon. 10/ 10 on my horror movie scale.

Big fan of the franchise, except HALLOWEEN 3. This is easily the best movie in the franchise next to the original. The mask, the music, a good body count and some humor thrown in naked this worth while. There were a few things I would have changed but it's still lots of fun.

If you've stayed away from the franchise since the original. Then, this film is for you. All you need going into this film is the knowledge of the original. Although, there are Easter eggs from all the other installments of the series here but not essential to overall story.

This Halloween sequel takes place 40 years after the events in Halloween II. The story negates all other Halloween entries in the series to focus on the story we all loved with Halloween and Halloween II. Great story and acting from the cast. Highly recommended to all fans.

John Carpenter brings!Halloween franchise home. While the first Rob Zombie remake was Good, part 2 was terrible. And every other Halloween after the original Halloween 2 left a lot to be desired. John Carpenter delivers on rebooting and continuing this forgotten franchise.

So I like the first Halloween movie, it's a classic and seeing Micheal just in the background is awesome. This movie brought it up a notch. With Micheal being older, his kills are more brutal. Not scary but still a cool movie to watch and get into that Halloween mood

The movie is very well made. A sequel done right. As far as the steelbook goes, I personally find it disappointing in the design. The text doesn't fit at all, and the front cover probably should have just gone with the official poster design with the Michael Myers mask. Regardless, I couldn't resist adding it to my collection with the rest of the Halloween films.

I enjoyed the spin that was put on the story. All the movies after the original never happened and they tell the story 40 years later after the first. This movie gives you enough gore to put it up there with Rob Zombies version of Halloween. Really enjoyed this movie.

This film is simple and satisfying, much like the original 1978 film. We're watching to see Michael wipe out some unfortunate souls in a small town, and that he does. Laurie Strode is to Halloween 2018 as Sarah Connor is to Terminator 2. Hardened, seasoned, changed, and prepared. A Halloween fan will delight seeing both Michael and Laurie back on the big screen.

This movie is a great sequel to the original. The mystery of Michael and his need to kill is still intact. John Carpenter does produce and does the music again with his son, Cody. This is a treat, not a trick, for those who enjoy the franchise prior to Zombie's remakes.

With Jamie Lee Curtis coming full circle to draw the numbers of audiences. How can you not love or forgive the "Could have been..." or "Lack of..." a potentially great movie. If you are a die hard Friday The 13th or Michael Myers fan then this is definitely a must see.

I thought I was not going to like this remake but it was really good, the extreme killings are spooky enough for anyone to see and the story is not cheap. The timeline does fit if you don't see it as a remake but as a long continuation from the first original movie...

When “Halloween” came out in 2018, I was surprised by how good it was. By disconnecting from all previous sequels and being a direct follow-up to John Carpenter’s original film, the movie allows Laurie Strode to have a more complete final battle with Michael Myers... That is until “Halloween Kills” and “Halloween Ends” comes out in 2020 and 2021.

All I say it's about time that did a direct sequel to the original Halloween movies and ignoring all the films. I really liked the close up shots of Michael Myers. I just wished that this movie would have even better if this movie would have been filmed in 3d.

As a long time Halloween fan, it feels weird to say that this movie truly makes 2-8 completely irrelevant.. and I couldn’t be happier about it lol. It’s a far worthier follow up than any of the sequels or crappy remakes. Oh and the 4K disc is reference quality!
