I cant say this is the best horror movie I have ever seen, but its much better than the endless sequels before it because it doesn't consider them. It considers only the first film which on its on is a classic..and while this sequel doesn't live up to the original, it does bring conclusion to this famed (and very tired) franchise.

First of all the Film looks great in 4K. I was really entertained. Michael Myers was also more brutal than ever in this film. I enjoyed seeing Jamie Lee Curtis back as Laurie Strode. Nick Castle also being in the film made the film special.

Very tense, and it pays off, some very good scares in there from someone who doesn't get scared too easily, also has a good bit of humor spliced in and references from the original. Must watch for any Halloween or horror movie fan.

This movie is great, I would not take my review with all that much thought. Halloween is my favorite Horror Movie of all time. I still love the original first, but this is a great movie and a good sequel. i suggest this movie to any horror fan.

if you loved the original Halloween, there were a lot of scenes in this Halloween, they made you think of the original Halloween. I hope they make another one. i also enjoy listening to the soundtrack while reading the Halloween novelization,

This film is everything you wanted a sequel to the original Halloween to be. It expands on the original story while paying omage to the previous films despite them being retconed. Jamie Lee Curtis was phenomenal and the movie was phenomenal!

I do like all the Halloween films - the originals, the sequels, the Rob Zombie remakes, but this is an interesting one. It picks up the story back from the original, as a sequel to it. It picks up a lot of the beats of the original, and plays as a good part 2 - if you can ignore all the other entries in the canon

As a fan of the Halloween movies, i enjoyed this slasher film. There are some holes in the story without explanation and it seems as if the story is meant to be Halloween 2 by ignoring the different storylines contained in the series, but overall this was an entertaining edition to the Halloween franchise.

Im a big fan of the Halloween movies. I actually went to the theatre to see this one. I couldnt wait to get this on bluray/dvd. Very excited to have Jamie Lee Curtis back. The movie doesn't disappoint. This is a direct sequel to part 1.

Naming aside, this film achieves in making Micheal Myers scary again with a ruthless take on the silent killer (a la Zombie's brutality) while still paying respect to his foreboding presence, giving him the proper respect as The Shape.

The Halloween series took some strange turns over the years. This movie took it back to basics and asked you forget everything past part 2. Once you get past that, this is a great movie. Blumhouse picked it up, brought back the original director and did an amazing job. If you're a Halloween fan, this is a must see/own.

The Halloween series is one of my favorites. I bought this because I preferred this to the steelbook that was released in January( even though I bought this one too. The movie/features are the exact same as the first release.

This Halloween is a worthy sequel. I just wish they had not ignored every movie after the first one, it should have been been every movie after the second Halloween. I'm a fan of the first 2 movies, the rest not so much. This movie to me is right there with those movies. You will like it if you like those movies too.

It’s not a cheesy, over the top gory horror film like many newer ones have been. It focuses on the story rather than a shock factor. This Halloween follows the oringal Halloween well. It’s nice to see Laurie Strode kick butt again.

The title says it all. It’s been sometime since the last Halloween movie came out. Let’s face it most of the time updated version of movies especially horror movies are horrible but this one proved me wrong and this was great movie.

Love that they brought back Jamie Lee Curtis. This one takes place after the second Halloween. So basically just pretend everything after the second didn’t happen. Plenty of jumps and screams makes this as fun as any horror movie I’ve seen in years. The spooky score and silent masked madman always gives me chills.

Wasn't expecting too much from this, but was actually quite entertained. Obviously no Oscars for this, but Jamie Lee Curtis has a decent role as the eccentric paranoid grandmother (who wouldn't be if you were her) and of course Michael Myers is back to his same old highjinks. Grab some buttered popcorn and enjoy.

This movie picks up 40 years after the original 1978 Halloween, and ignores every one of the sequels. John Carpenter did not direct this, but did executive produce and composed the score for it. Jamie Lee Curtis returned for this.

I must admit to being shocked by this modern and current version. I think Jamie Lee Curtis hit it out of the park. She proved with age comes wisdom. I hope she has one more let in her before calling it quits in this awesome series.

I know it's not for everyone, but I'm a huge fan of the series and thought they did an excellent job with this. There are many new things and also quite a few Easter Eggs from the original and some of the other movies in the series.
