I really like the design of this steelbook, and the transparent slipcover is a great touch. Steelbook editions aren't typically a big deal for me, but this seemed essential for my Halloween movie collection and might be the nicest looking steelbook I own. The UHD disc looks great. It's the same disc as the normal edition UHD. It could have been a definitive edition of the movie, but there's no option for the original mono audio track (last available in the out of print box set blu-ray collections). The blu-ray disc included is the same as the one released in 2007 or 2008. I believe it has a different video transfer and extra feature not available in the 35th anniversary blu-ray put out a few years later.

I've been watching Halloween regularly since the 80's and I've seen it on every format, including laserdisc. This, in my opinion, is the absolute best presentation of the film. I was very disappointed by the last 4K disc release from Lionsgate, because the colors were all stripped away and the whole thing looked off. Shout Factory remedies that with a new 4K scan of the original camera negative and the whole image is beautiful, with colors being where they should be. I love the new Dolby Atmos mix, which creates a wider, more detailed sound mix that I found to be more engaging than any previous sound mix I've heard.

Being a huge Halloween fan once I saw they wear releasing this on Steelbook I had to buy it. When it comes to Steelbooks I don't collect a lot of them it always comes down to if am a big fan of the movie along with the design they come up with for the case. I just love how this Steelbook turned out everything from the color to the images they used for me is perfect and the transfer of the movie is very good it's the same as the standard 4k release. I recommended any huge Halloween fan to add this to their collection, unfortunately, this is out of print no longer for sale on Bestbuys website much like a lot of the exclusive steelbooks they need to be purchased right away this can be bought on eBay.
