This was a very good movie if you like horror flicks

Onviously the original's a classic. Well worth revisisting. Halloween 2's okay, the other's I haven't seen so here's my opportunity. Very excited that the entire set is in Blu-ray. A perfect DVD set for the month of October and reasonably priced.

The first film is classic - action and gore stepped up in prequels but they lost the charm. Avoid the 2 remakes in this set though.

I'd never seen all of the Halloween films, but I generally enjoyed the movies I had seen. This is a great purchase for fans of the series.

The true story of this franchise is Dr Loomis. Played by the iconic science fiction actor Donald Pleasence. Best known for playing Dr No in the James Bond franchise and starring in the Forbidden Planet... A movie playing in the background of the first Halloween film by the way. Tommy is watching it on the television. And what can you say... The theme music is the definition of spine chilling. 1978. I first saw this movie when I was only 12 years old. Snuck in the theater. Likely why I became a surgeon. To cut people open... Seriously. That's what my psychiatrist thinks! So what separates me from Michael Myers? My grandparents putting me in Catholic grade school basically. Were it not for sister Kathleen... I may have gone down that type of path. In this film series has always walked up to the "over the top line", the line where it could have gone overboard and become comical... But never crossed it. Michael Myers remained scary through each and every movie in the series. I take that back. He remained out early terrifying... Unless you understand him like I do. Then he's a very sad character worthy of empathy. Why not just buy the first movie or two? Because. Each movie is different and stands on its own as a true horror movie classic. Free example... Halloween 6: the curse of Michael Myers. The look on the adult Tommy's face when he finally comes face to face with Michael. The true look of horror on his face. Perhaps the best single piece of acting in a horror movie that I have ever seen. Wasted in a movie that otherwise have limited production values, acting, budget, etc. But when he's trying to open that door in the sanitarium with the fire extinguisher and first sees Michael... Pay attention to the look on his face, the twitching in his eye, the way he turns his head back to the door. I was in the US Army. That is how terrified people act in real life. I don't know what that young actor has been through in his life, but he has been terrified at least once. Seriously terrified to the core. I may not be Rob Zombie... But I know horror movies. Unlike Texas Chainsaw, Friday the 13th, another long-term franchises... This one does not have a truly bad movie in the bunch. They are all very watchable. With the possible exception of Halloween 3: season of the witch. The only one without Michael Myers... Obviously done on a low budget. Worth watching for the classic commercial for the product and the social commentary on marketing to children. A lesson to be learned there for sure

Every year, as September rolls around and the weather cools off, we enter the ideal time for pumpkin beer and horror flicks. This particular set sparked my interest simply due to the low price for all 10 Halloween movies, and the satisfaction of owning a complete set without taking up too much shelf space. Compared to the Limited Edition set, all you're missing here are a couple DVD discs with TV versions of the earlier films, and the much sought after Producer's Cut of Halloween 6. However, if you feel the need to own Halloween 6: The Producer's Cut, it is available to purchase on its own blu-ray disc for a very reasonable price (probably much to the dismay of those who shelled out the cash for the Limited Edition set). As for this collection, you get the 35th Anniversary edition of the original Halloween film, as well as the superior Shout!Factory releases of Halloween 2 and 3. That's worth the price by itself. On top of that, you get all the subsequent Michael Myers adventures in all their stabby glory, including the Rob Zombie remakes of Halloween and Halloween II, with only the Unrated versions of both. All in all, if you're like me and you enjoy watching Halloween movies but you don't need all the supplemental features and you'd like to preserve shelf space for more movies, save yourself about $100 and get this set.

Picked this box set up on the Deal of the Day. I'm very happy with my purchase of this Blue Ray set. It's great that they include the 2 Rob Zombie "Halloween" films as well. Love all the Halloween movies! Highly recommend!

If you like the Halloween movies, this is for you. You get all of the movies on Blu-Ray and (when you catch it on sale), you get them all at the same price.

The Hallowee series happens to be one of the best, if not the best, HORROR movie libraries out there. Aside from the one movie that strayed away from the series this is absolutely a great collection. I am happy to have this BD collection as part of my horror movie library collection and at a decent price too!
