This movie still makes me scared 35 years later! Finally bought it because my 12 year old loves it too!!

John Carpenter's masterpiece. No need for a story line here or much too say. Just go watch it with the lights out and cell phone off!!!

The image on the website is clearly the digibook, with the red, header. i received the standard blue clam shell.

If the extended version is on dvd, I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be re-released on blu ray. If it was on blu ray now, then I would buy it and the running time of the movie would be 104 mins, that would be fantastic.

The Digi-Book release of the same disc is fantastic, and if you don't care about the packaging then pick this up, but I was very disappointed to open the mailing envelope and be confronted by a normal blu-ray case.

Awesome game very fun to play and hours of entertainment.

Though the daylight exteriors are much closer to the original approved masters from John Carpenter, the nighttime scenes -- about 3/4 of the movie -- still just aren't right. The effective blue-orange complimentary color palette is white-washed away, and though fleshtones may be more "accurate," this is just not the 'Halloween' it should be. As a longtime fan of 'Halloween' -- and as someone who feels strongly that the filmmaker's intentions should always be sacrosanct -- I take particular issue with the decision to yet again utilize a compromised master that's been disowned by John Carpenter himself for this release. If you want the nicest Carpenter approved film, look for the out-of-print THX-certified copy on DVD and don't bother with the Blu-Ray.
