We wanted a 4-slice toaster. This toasts evenly, has a release button, and so far it is working really well for us. We had thought we would have to spend more to get what we wanted - but pleasantly, not so. For us this fills the bill.

I love the varies button for bagels etc & the radio dial for toast type very easy to use! Love the two trays in the back of the toaster to remove bread crumbs!
