We just purchased this Hamilton Beach can opener that seems great so far. It opens cans not from the upper inner rim but from the side of the top - it sounds strange but it's cool because the opened top and rest of the can does not have the sharp jagged edges like what results from most other can openers.

Liked the canopener. Works smoothly. But the cord is way too short. Couldnt reach plug to outlet. My husband put a longer cord on it.
