This is a great speaker. I have bought HK products before (eg the Onyx Studio Blue Tooth speaker) and they are top quality. This is no exception.

It's exactly what I expected and was looking for. Good quality sound and volume for its size and price.

The sound quality is ok but not as good when compared to newer options from Bose or other companies. It has a battery but can also be used with a power outlet. You can also directly connect a device using the 3.5mm input. Sound quality is ok but my Amazon Echo sounds better than this when playing music. Volume can get pretty loud on the Harmon Kardon when you want something that can fill the room. Speakerphone capability is nice to have when you are using with your phone. My personal disclaimer: I purchased it as an open box/clearance item but I don't think I would buy it at full price when comparing it to other options. The full price would have been $199 but I don't like it at that price when compare to the new Bose portable speakers. About my application: I purchased this as an open box/clearance item for use with an AppleTV in my office that is connected to a computer monitor that does not have speakers. For my application, it works fine as a bluetooth speaker for AppleTV and the AppleTV remote can even control the volume of this speaker.

Excellent sound, beautiful design, a bit big for me to be considered portable, check dimensions first.

I purchased this bluetooth speaker for use in the master bathroom. It works great with my iPad Mini and my Mac Powerbook. There is little or no distortion with the volume all the way up.

The price cut was impressive. The speaker is good, lacks bass and I found it a little weak on volume and battery life. It's early so I will keep working with it. Good for the value and this manufacturer is known for quality audio. In this case, just average. It meets the requirement so I won't be returning it.
