Ok speaker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is an ok speaker. I bought it because I thought it was on sale. Turns out it wasn't. Got what I paid for. Returned it and bought a Bose from the outlet store for just a little more. It sounds a ton better!

Was expecting better based upon brand name
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this from Best Buy while it was on sale for about $100 off the regular price. I had intended to use it in my office for music and talk radio broadcasts. I already have Bose mini Soundlink that I keep at home and bring to the office occasionally. The HK 1's sound did not compare favorably. In addition, I was unable to find a volume level that would be low enough for me to hear but that would not bother others around me. Had to return it.

Had to return it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It wasn’t as good as I had hoped this portable Bluetooth speaker would be. The sound wasn’t as loud and we had trouble connecting to one of our devices.

Volume not loud enough for music
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this wireless speaker primarily to listen to music on my phone. The volume is good enough to use for voice, but not for music... at least for me. I returned it.

Look for something else
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the HK speaker for a few months and at best it's just ok. I listen to a lot of talk radio and it does pretty well for that but music sound quality is terrible. I know a small portable speaker will never have amazing sound but I expected more from HK. Sadly there are are no play/pause, rewind or fast forward buttons which which I found to be very helpful on another brand I used to have. I'm shopping for a new one now.

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. It is possible that the Bluetooth source is not sending out any loud sound with its current settings. Please check your audio settings in your music app. Make sure everything is set OFF in the EQ/Tone settings, and set the volume on the Bluetooth source a bit on the louder side while setting the volume on the HK ONE lower, to compensate.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please submit a request at www.harmankardon.com/contactus and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to further assist you.

Take home review champ.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have listened to beats pill 2.0 in store and Sony models currently on display in store and decided to take home a few and try in their likely permanent location. I have tried fugoo style (excellent sound, features, definitely recommend), Milwaukee's m12 Bluetooth speaker for jobsites ( ridiculous battery life, great sound, price for battery and speaker way high for what you get), and Harmon kardon one. The clarity is on par with all of them. The mids and highs are amazing even at high volume. By the way, all the speakers mentioned have to be turned up all the way to be acceptable. This speaker does what they do turned to half way volume. This thing is the undisputed champ so far for loudness and clarity. However very much like you will find out, this speaker wasn't built to knock itself off the desk with bass. None of the others so far that I've heard can either. I was upset when finding that out. Especially the ones that clearly claim they're much better in this field. You're not going to get that in this category of speaker. If I'm wrong let me know. Battery life is ehhhhh. I have it making about 3 or so hours before it shows 2 bars on the status indicator. Great build, looks smooth and if you can catch it on sale for $100 it's a steal. I still want to try the ue boom 2 and the Jbl charge 2+ but am hesitant because I'm closer to considering that to all be a waste of time. This speaker plays particularly well classic rock and Metallica type metal. Hip hop sounds great but is just missing that thump you want for bass. That's no deal breaker for me. Just get this speaker. You'll be impressed. Bonus: for ultraportability get the Jbl clip. I got it on sale for $40 and I can't believe the sound quality from it. Super awesome little speaker.

poor volume adjustment
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The volume adjustment is too sensitive. I couldn't get the speaker to be low enough for use in my office.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with our product. Your feedback is highly appreciated and will help us to improve our ability to serve you and other Harman Kardon customers. Since both the speaker and the source device can control the volume, adjusting the volume on the device alternately will likely help to solve the issue.

Good speaker for a small office or room
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Speaker seems to be of good quality but I needed more volume for a shop and outdoor use

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. If you need more volume for a shop and outdoor use, the ONYX STUDIO 3 is the way to go. This speaker is designed to be portable so it should still give you great results even when played outdoor, but it is ideal to run the speaker while plugged in to AC to ensure that you are getting the most power out of the ONYX STUDIO 3 while playing it in an open setting.

Dissapointing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always heard that HK electronics were top notch. I have a Bose soundlink mini at home and in comparison, this speaker's features are very weak. Sound is metallic, much bigger and I hate that it doesn't have a true low volume. First HK and probably last. It's ok if you mostly want loud sound.

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. It is possible that what you are experiencing is due to the ONE's power saving feature. It is auto sensing and will turn off if no audio signal is detected for approximately 10 minutes. So, if you have the volume on the ONE cranked up, and the volume on your source device set really low, it is very possible that the ONE is not seeing enough of an audio signal to know to stay on. Please try turning the volume on the ONE down a bit, and then crank up the volume on your source device to get to the level you desire. This will send a signal to the ONE and it should stay on without any issues.
Lastly, we’re sorry to hear you’re having issues pairing to your Bluetooth source. This should not be the case, so we’d love to dig into your experience a bit more. Please submit a case at www.harmankardon.com/contactus and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to further assist you.
