A friend had an earlier version that was round and stood up by a small stand on the bottom. I loved the bass and crisp treble it produced but it got kicked over constantly due to the base. I thought this one fixed that and may sound even better. I was completely wrong! This speaker not only has a muffled sound in my opinion, but doesn’t go nearly loud enough either. The crisp highs and clarity of the former models is gone. It’s almost like placing a towel over the speaker or something. It does get slightly louder when plugged in but still not loud enough for me. I returned it. This is a definite no buy at full price. Okay buy at $200. At full price, I’d go for the big JBL.

I decided to purchase a used excellent condition item ! I love it looks brand new no scratches or marks on my speaker ! Only con is I thought it would be a little louder but overall satisfied !
