Great Movie Ultraviolet Digital Copy Useless
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The final movie is very well done. The plot is a little different from the books but it would be impossible to put everything from the book in the movie. I would strongly recommend the movie to any Harry Potter fan. I do have a major complaint about this movie. It is the Ultraviolet digital copy that comes with it. The box had "Digital Copy" on the front like the previous movies but it comes with a different type of digital copy. The previous movies were compatible with ITUNES and ITUNES compatible devices. This new format is not. You must stream the movie and create several additional accounts. I consider this false advertising. I purchase a lot of Blue Rey disks and usually look for digital copy. Since my experience with this movie, I put movies back on the shelf at the store when I see Ultraviolet t Digital copy on the disk. I will not purchase anything with this type of Digital Copy.

A great conclusion.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After viewing the first of the 2 part conclusion to this franchise of films I was actually very psyched to view the conclusion. the fifth and sixth films in the franchise had left me wanting (Order of the Phoenix and Half-blood Prince), and thus the greatness of Deathly Hallows Part 1 was a welcome surprise. Satisfaction is the best word to describe the feeling at the end of Deathly Hallows part 2. DO NOT Attempt to watch this film without at least seeing Part 1. Viewing of films 1-6 are not necessary to enjoy DH 1&2, though they may enhance the intensity of some moments, having knowledge of the full back story (film wise- these are books too, in case you've been locked away like Oldboy or something)

Stay away from UltraViolet!!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The movie is great! However the UltraViolet digital copy is a total waste of money. I need to be able to see the movie on my iPad without the internet connection. What was Warner Bros. thinking!!!!!! Save your money...do not purchase the combo pack.

B+ ending to an epic series
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You really have to watch this with HP7 part 1 to get the full feeling of the story. Otherwise, more than any of the other films, it is very apparent you are picking up mid story (obviously). The 3D is good in the beginning, but then feels a bit forced in the last 20 minutes of film. That being said, the movie ties up almost all the loose ends. It becomes very somber feeling and you really get a sense of both the danger and tragedy the characters encounter. There are several intense thriller sequences. As an FYI, there are a couple of references to deleted scenes from previous movies, so if you haven't seen them you might feel like, I don't remember that? The story is pretty fast paced even with the somber moments, so it's still easy enough to keep up. All in all, pretty good, but I liked HP7 part 1 better.

it's finally over
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having bought the first half I felt compelled to buy the second. Not having read the book I had hoped it would be more exciting then the first half. It was, but only just. It was quite boring for nearly two thirds of the movie, much like the first half, though shorter, which I applaud. Having Harry die then come back without the evil inside him was a great touch, so Harry could kill the evil one. The ending, many years into the future with Drago joining them on the train platform to launch their kids on the journey they themselves so recently had taken was a surprise. But I wonder, will something come of this that isn’t by Rawlings? We can only see. Do I recommend this movie? Possible, if you’re not expecting action the whole way.

Contact WB
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was dissapointed that I could not get the Itunes version with the digital copy that I purchased. I went to the WB website and wrote a complaint to the customer service department. The following day they e-mailed me a code to download the copy in Itunes. Worth a shot, sounds like they are trying to fix the problem with unhappy customers.

"Digital Copy" not a real digital copy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Movie is beautiful on BR3D, BR and DVD, but be advised that the "digital copy" is not the same as digital copies on most recent movies. This is neither the extra Digital Copy disc nor the "visit this website to download" version of a digital copy. "Ultraviolet Digital Copy" is its own animal, requiring an Adobe Air download or a separate app download for the iUniverse. Disappointing that Warner decided to opt for a proprietary format for their digital copy, but even more so since they opted for a version that isn't native to any widely accepted system.

Will satisfy all but the strictest HP purist.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great for HP fans and neophites. For real fans the DVD extras are reason enough to buy this set. The Radcliffe/Rowling one-on-one is excellent. As to changes made to the story - especially the final battle - yes, I wish the film were truer to the book. However, if you watch the film and haven't read the book, you won't know the difference.

Great ending to a great series...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The movie itself is great. If you liked the others in the series you'll like this one. As for the 3D, I wasn't impressed. There are a few scenes where it really works, but I noticed a lot of ghosting throughout the whole movie.

The Culmination of one of the greatest movie sagas
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never read the books, so I can't compare how they relate to the movies, which I'm sure would only disappoint me if I had read the books. But I've enjoyed the whole series. Especially those at the end. The movies got darker and deeper as the kid's grew up and had to deal with more complicated themes. The saga reaches the conclusion it has been building toward since three movies ago. The epic collision of Harry Potter and Voldemort. Great story, great effects, great acting.

Great sendoff to a great series
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Maybe it's because I've been a Harry Potter fan since the first book was published, but this movie was very enjoyable. It was dark and ominous, and caught the mood of the book perfectly. It was fun to see the kids grow up, and nice way to tie the bow on the package. Now that the series is complete, it's time to re-read each book and watch the movies all over again!

Excellent 3D Bluray movie
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me say first that I own a decent home theater (calibrated JVC DLA RS60 projector with 120" wide AT 4K Screen Excellence and nice audio), so I would never spoil a pleasure by watching any decent movie on an inferior system, especially a one that requires any kind of "digital copy". But if I need one, I'd just rip Bluray and wouldn't worry about silly thing like that. Movie itself is spectacular, story is good. Technically 3D Bluray version is superb.

Harry Potter Deathly Halows part 2
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best Harry Potter movie ever! This is a scary movie but a really good one. It is the last Harry Potter movie. I think people who could enjoy this movie would be 7-40. In this movie at the end gives you a Flash-Forward to 15 years later where Harry Potter and Jinny get married and Ron Weesly and Hermione gets married and they all get 2 kids. That is why I think Harry Potter Deathly Hallows part 2 is the movie for you!!!

Great Movie - Digital Copy Rip-off
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to agree with other posters and add to what they have said. This is a wonderful movie and having it on Blu-ray and in 3D is great. Since I have almost all of the other HP movies on my iPod I wanted this one as well which is why we made sure we got one with a digital copy. As everyone here has said, this is not your typical digital copy. You can only watch it on a mobile device that is actively connected to the internet through a Flixster account. After reading reviews about it on Amazon, we followed the advice given there and contacted Flixster. They gave us a special code to use to be able to download the movie into iTunes. You just had to either have your code from the case or a screenshot from your Flixster account. I'm happy that we were able to work this out but it's wrong that we should have to do this. We have an "Ultraviolet Digital Copy" of another movie and I question if they'd be willing to do this for all of the movies. At some point, I'd doubt it but their process doesn't work and isn't a true digital copy.

Good for Fans (Mostly)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you haven't read the books, this movie can be hard to follow, as it (as usual) has to cut a great deal of background out to get the action in. For fans, a satisfying conclusion to the movies. However, I don't know why they changed the ending so Voldemort and Bellatrix explode, etc. Why not leave the ending the way it was written in the book? Overall, great job, though.

Great Movie, However...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only thing that was frustrating was the digital copy portion. You had to sign up for a Flixster account AND an Ultraviolet account in order to download it. And in the end it still did not end up working. It was very annoying. If you want a digital copy, stick a platform strictly for digital, such as iTunes or amazon.

The best Potter!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Harry Potter was definitely the best one since #4. I was so very happy how well this movie was done. I wanted it to be better than 5-7 part 1, and it was above my expectations! If you followed along with all the Harry Potters, and even if you didn't, you won't be disappointed with #7 part 2.
