    It’s magick!

....because magick with the “ck” matters. But hey, for a muggle like me who doesn’t believe in this stuff - it’s great entertainment! If you actually take the time to go back and fourth between the 4K and the Blu-ray Discs (which are included) you can see slight differences. I think that at some point with the 4K upgrading you stand to both gain and lose in different areas, visually. When Blu-ray came out it was the amount sound that could be contained in the disc that was the biggest game changer. The 4K discs also contain a better sound experience. So I’d say that the enhanced audio for upgraded 4K movies is where the magick really happens. Or is it magic, proper, because it’s an illusion? I know, I know. Muggles, right? I’ll get the hang of this wizard thing eventually.

4K Not Sure It is an Upgrade

I love the Harry Potter Movies. I thought that I would splurge and get the 4K set. After watching a bit, I noticed that there were a few moments where the video was messing up when people were moving fast. I am not sure that it is my player or the disc. I have said before that the step up from Blu-ray to 4K is not as big a step as from DVD to Blu-ray.

What a quality bundle. I purchased this when it was on sale and am glad I did. 4K UHD is no joke and having master audio sure makes a difference than what I was used to. You won't be disappointed. My only thing is that it comes with both 4K and regular Blu-Ray discs, which I felt is silly. The Blu-Ray options will just collect dust. Hehe.

I will start by saying that this is the collection to have if you want the best quality of these films, the 4k transfer, however doesn't blow your mind by any means. The UHD really sets in by goblet of fire and so forth. All that said, these movies look great, sharp, and clear throughout the entire 8 film collection. A must buy for the harry potter fan, if you're purchasing for an astounding 4k experience, I would wait for this to be on sale.

Great video & audio quality when playing the 4K DVDs on the Xbox Series X and Denon AVR. No stutters or lag, very smooth playback. Streaming on Peacock is horrible. Brings back nostalgic memories. Wish it supported Dolby TrueHD audio format.

I’m a huge Harry Potter fan, and already own all of these movies on DVD and Blu Ray, but I had to get them in 4K as well. I believe that only movies 1 and 2 are actually really 4K, but the rest still look great upscaled.

Found a great sale on this set and for me I haven’t seen all of the HP movies and refuse to pay for hbo max or peacock just to watch them. This set did not come with the digital code but for me not a negative as I rip these to my plex server. Just something to think about if you need digital licenses.

I already had the blue-ray and DVDs but wanted the 4K Ultra HD and all of the extra added scenes. The extras are all on the first two movies only and only on the Blue-ray. That's ok, it is well worth the money for the 4k and for additional scenes. I would purchase again!

Very happy with this purchase. The image quality is excellent. The collection comes with two induvial sets, one 4K Ultra and the other Blu-ray. It does include a code for digital download as well. I was on the fence between Blu-ray and 4K Ultra sets. The price is a bit steep but overall happy I went for the 4k Ultra HD.

Worth investing in if you haven't seen the series in years and want the best experience watching them all over again. I'll be going through these discs more than once. Unbalanced 4K performance depending on the film, but this is the best we'll get until there's another 4K transfer treatment.

Standard blu ray and 4K versions in one. It’s nice to have this instead of a bunch of random shaped dvds and blu ray. 4K UHD is a nice upgrade. The case is very flimsy, as is always the case with big collections other than steel book. Got it on sale for a great price of about $10 a movie.

Bought this for my wife since she's a big fan and I too enjoy watching the movies. We've used a combination of both bluray and 4k discs and did not have any issues with playback or compatibility. Great gift for any HP fans. Just take note that this does not have any digital copy codes included as other reviewers have complained about.

Nice HDR, doesn't look like 4K

Resolution does not look any better than Blu-Ray version for the first few fims. 1 & 2 were shot in Standard Def, so they just look like standard def that has been upgraded to 1080p. However, the Deathly Hollows 1 & 2, I expected a bit more from. Deathly 1 is a very dark and drab color pallete to add to the dire situation of the movie, so a lot of grays and blacks, nothing to really make the HDR pop and not a good test film. Deathly 2 is way better in that regard. The HDR is a definite upgrade on all but Deathly 1, so no complaints there. Coming from already having the Blu-Ray set I was expecting more. Not that i was expecting as if it was a shot in 4K. If you don't have the Blu-Ray set already, I would definitely recommend the 4K HDR set. You also get the Blu-Ray set with the extended versions of Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets, which is a nice bonus. If you already own the blu-ray set and you just gotta have it (apparently I did), then get it, but if you have the blu-ray you can probably pass on the 4K set. This is all being tested on the new Hisense 65H9G, which is really good at HDR and a Vizio 55Q7-H1, which has good HDR in the right lighting. Lastly, there are a total of 16 discs 8 in each set of the 4k and Blu-ray however the design of the snap in case is horrible as the discs keep popping out on their own. I jave sleeves and are just going to remove the page style plastic holder and put them in the sleeves.

Great value and exactly what I wanted. Difficulty in ordering however. Tried to order online but was told not available for home delivery - in-store- pickup only. Later tried to order for in-store pickup and was told available for curbside pickup only. Made it not easy, but eventually got what I needed.

I had never seen the Harry Potter movies so I decided to experience them in 4K HDR and all I can say is wow!!! The story arc is fantastic and the modern visual treatment is absolutely stunning. I am kind of upset that I didn't watch these films sooner but glad that my first experience was in 4K.

I have always been a big fan of the Harry Potter movies, but have never had the complete collection. Now not only do I have all 8 movies, I have them in 4K. The picture and sound is incredible. I like the fact that all 8 movies are also included in Blue Ray. If you are a Harry Potter fan you need this set.

The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray is image is very good. The Blu-ray has extended for the first couple of movies and they were pretty good. I would recommend the 4K version and the Blu-ray Collection. I wish there were more bonus features on the blu-rays.
