Biggest downside was when she opened it on Christmas morning and the disks where not in the holding spots inside. Overall it’s a great value and a great set.

I am very happy with having this set on Bluray, as the video quality is exceptional and there are loads of extra features on each disc, and the price can't be beat. However, sometimes the audio backs off. (I prefer it when disc-makers do NOT use limiters to bring the volume back during loud segments, especially with Bluray.) Also, the case these discs came in quickly broke one of the tabs that keep it closed, so the case is less well-made than other cases of discs I have purchased. Also, the first four movies start straight away without first going to the menu (which I find annoying, since I need to set the captions to ON for my mother), and the last three movies FORCE you to watch advertising before the movie starts and prohibit the ability to skip the ads (using ANY of the standard Bluray player menu buttons) and jump directly to the disc menu. Despite the caveats, I still recommend it because of the overall value.

All 8 movies, it is the standard edition no special edition here but its all the American versions you saw in theaters i would buy this as a gift

But you have to spend $200 more to get that feature. Other than that we love our Happy Potter nights at home with the family.

My husband has been trying to get me to watch these movies for a long time and I decided to surprise him with them on his birthday. We were watching the first one that he had recorded on TV and when we got to the commercial I decided to bust them out a few days early so we could enjoy our entertainment commercial free. The difference in quality was INCREDIBLE this set displays beautiful picture and clarity. We haven't even finished the first movie yet but I am very pleased with this purchase especially since I happened to snag it when it was on sale. Worth the money!!

The Harry Potter series of novels was a rich, beautifully written story that touched hearts, broke them, and changed innumerable lives. So why was it so hard to turn these adventures into a series of films? Well, because they had to be adapted by humans, and humans have flaws. Sure, we all felt we could have written better adaptations of this material. But, when push comes to shove, could we? Enough apologizing for the filmmakers. What we have are eight films - almost eighteen and a half hours of film - that do what they set out to do: they tell us the story of Harry Potter, and his rise from a banal life as an orphan living under the stairs of his evil aunt and uncle's home in England and his transformation into one of the most powerful wizards of all time. Rich performances are given by Daniel Radcliff as Harry, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint as his wizarding friends as Hermione and Ron, and a faculty of instructors including Michael Gambon, Maggie Smith, Alan Rickman, Robbie Coltrane, and Ralph Fiennes as the most feared wizard of all time, Lord Voldemort. So quit complaining that this plot was changed here and this person was left out there, and just sit back and let the directors (Chris Columbus, Alphonso Cuaron, Mike Newell, and David Yates), writers, and cast transport you to a world where you can banish your fears with those two simple words: "Expecto patronum!"

From beginning to end this Blueray set gives you high quality picture and sound . I love the Harry potter movies but hate watching them on TV because they should be seen as a whole instead of being interupted by commercials. I know there are other Blueray sets out there that have all the makings of and other clutter about the cast and so on , but if you're like me and just want to simply watch these movies without all the "perks" that we never use anyway , then this is the set for you . You get all eight movies in Blueray dvd , and for me that's all I want , the extras just get in the way.

Love Best Buy and all that it has to offer . Unfortunately had to go back 2 times to exchange pick order that was broken and dent on this dvd and a steel box of the frozen movie 2 different trips. Customer service was great though was able to exchange items and they inspected them before I left . All in all no problem exchanging them . I will still continue to shop there it is one of my favorite stores to shop at . Just will have them check the package(s) before leaving !!!

After reading all of the books, my son really wanted all of the movies. GREAT Deal on Black Friday!

Seeing all 8 movies in succession and fast enough to remember even minor continuity points was a delightful experience. Seeing them in Blu-Ray made it even better. There are parts of the visuals and dialogue I understood for the first time. Some of the characters I dismissed as minor turned into major players. I highly recommend this set.

I'm sad only because when it arrived, another box had also arrived. Soooo I placed the mailer envelope with my precious Harry Potter on top of the box. While I was trying to open the post office door with my elbow(hello covid), it slid off the top and thunked to the floor. My case is pretty broken and it doesnt hold the discs. BUT the discs themselves were not harmed. They are all there and play well, and before I ruined it, the case was lovely also!

Have been wanting to update our dvd copies of this amazing series and finally saw occasion to do so. It’s our yearly holiday ritual to watch these films as a marathon and now we can do so with an even more clear and crisp picture and more robust audio (living in a very remote area makes steaming quality limited). This is a gift that will keep on giving for years to come

Now i can finally watch what all the fuss Was about in one complete series that won't break my bank.

a classic if not that old getting the movies on bluray is definatly an improvement from our dvds

The price of this set is unbeatable. I just recently watched all of the Harry Potter films with my friends, who have the exact same box set. I found it easily on Bestbuy website and it was on a great sale. I recommend this to any Potter fan or someone who has never seen the movies but want to try them out. There is one disc that is styled different than the others but the functionality of them are not compromised.

Overall, the Harry Potter film saga is pretty solid (#3, #6, and #8 in particular are my favorites), and to have all of them in a Blu-ray collection like this (especially when Best Buy sells it for $40 or $50!) is awesome. However, where I have my biggest problem is in how the manufacturer decided to package these discs together. When I received my collection, which comes in a thick Blu-ray disc case with all eight discs inside, the case was unable to be completely shut, and when I opened the case wide, a couple of the discs fell out because they were not firmly attached to their disc holders inside. I'm not sure who was in charge of packaging this collection, but I honestly think it's a miracle that no discs were broken or otherwise damaged. Anyway, it's a good collection for a good deal--just be careful when you actually open the thing when you get it!

Yeah, so I totally ignored the reviews and shrugged 'em off like it couldn't happen to me but when I got it in the mail the bluray, on the inside, the casing holding the discs were damaged and came apart. Never again am I buying my movies for my collection from Walmart. Best Buy been good to me, so that's where I do my movie shopping. Back to the movie. This Harry Potter collection is a must have for any fan of the book or movies.

Absolutely love harry potter. This collection includes all of the harry potter films. It's a great family movies that's perfect to watch during the holidays. The price was fantastic at a low $39.99 which is amazing concidering it's usually at lesat $60. Unfortunately this collection does not display any of the extended scenes that you might see when watching it on t.v but it's still a great buy. Would definitely recommend this movis to those who have not yet seen it.
