These eggs do not seem to hatch themselves and you need to open them yourself with your thumb. Waiting for the heart to turn is honestly pointless also, except to keep your kid busy. I did get these for my niece and I can say she is in love with these things which is the main thing that matters

Not So CollEGGtible - Opened/Returned or Bad Boxes

They love Hatchimals and have a ton already. Received and the shipping box was fine, but was surprised to see the actual packaging of the boxes not sealed, obviously opened, and the cardboard inside the packaging that holds the eggs opened. Since there's a rarity / collection component, I suspect that these were opened, swapped with 'bad eggs' and returned. Normally my kids wouldn't care - they don't know "rarity" but in each box, we then found 3-4 of the same animal / color. Do not recommend buying as there is no QA / QC. Kids were disappointed but overall tried to spin it as "they are twins!"

Several repeats... in the same box?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We got three blue pandas, two red birds, two teal penguins, and a whopping FOUR teal whales. FOUR. I mean yeah, we expect when we buy multiple sets we will sometimes get a repeat, but this is the first time we ever got a repeat **in the same box**. We essentially got 10 unique Hatchimals rather than 18, which since we bought it on clearance was not a bad deal, but after SO MANY repeats the disappointment was bigger than the fun. I'd still recommend Hatchimals in general, but not this pack.

waste of money

What a disappointment this is. My daughter opened them up to get 2 sets of triplets, and 3 sets of twins. So in reality out of the 18 eggs only 11 were different.
