great for keeping up with tv without a tv on hand.

I used to have the previous version 950, it worked fine. But as my cable company modified it's channel lineup I lost my favorite channels. I bought the 950Q to be able to watch the channels I lost. The 950Q is simply worthless as a ClearQAM viewer. My pc far exceeds all minimum requirements, I have tried every release of drivers available, I have tried multiple resolutions, and at best I can watch about 2 minutes of nice clear TV before it goes wack! I have read the manufacturers FAQ and tried whatever seemed applicable. If you plan on using getting one of these for ClearQAM, check the other reviews, anyone that gave this good marks is not using it for ClearQAM viewing!

Installed as per directions. Nothing worked. Visisted web site. Said I had to install updates and drivers for windows 7. Still did not work, later found that it is not compatable with a 64 bit system and windows 7. Cool concept, price would be ok, if it worked.

I had this for about 6 months. I used it often since I do not have a tv. The reception is horrible. The buffering is even worse. However, what is the worse of them all is customer service. Save your disk. If you have problems and need to reinstall your program and you don't have the disk. You can't from the website unless you purchase the software again. I was on hold for 10 minutes and they do not have an 800 number. I am dissapointed in the program. I will purchase another device as long as it isn't from this company.

Where to begin? The instructions were confusing. The installation, acknowledged by the instructions, required "multiple reboots" of the Windows system. We had to download the drivers when the included installation disc would not load. After pushing through an hour of downloads, reboots and installs, followed by channel scans, the device was able to identify about 14 of 50+ channels. Just a waste of time and money. If it works for you, great. For us the only good thing was Best Buy's easy return policy.

It did pull in the necessary channels and recorded fine. For the price I think it's ok. But the quality of the video was not really very good.

Installed on computer using XP SP3, did not work, gave me User.dll errors, the customer service blames Microsoft software, no help at all. Returned!

This tuner constantly suffers from a low bit rate problem and causes Media Center to crash despite having the cable company increase the signal. I have spent countless hours trying to troubleshoot this problem and can only conclude that it's a poor product. The tuner should almost work right out of the box with little fan fare. Unfortunately, that's not the case with Hauppauge. Don't buy it!!!

I wish i could write a review about how good/bad the video, sound, and features were, but i can't..... because this piece of junk doesn't work in windows 7. and hauppauge's tech support is nonexistent. I sent an email over a week ago detailing word for word what the software problem was and i have yet to receive a solution. don't waste your time or your money.

Unfortunately this was the only tv tuner the best buy here in a small town had to offer and I would not recommend it. The software is terrible and this is not worth it. If I had to do over, I would have waited the extra couple of days to get a better one shipped. For $80, not worth the money.

Hauppage had a divorce from ElGato 1 year ago. They did not change their spec list for the TV Tuner which said ElGato lite was supplied. Without ElGato Lite, the tuner will not work. So one must buy ElGato v3 ($ 80.00) from ElGato. Costco tech was absolutely no help!

If you have to get your cable or satellite TV through a converter box of any kind this will not work. Over the air TV works but the reception quality is terrible.
