The bank robbery sequence in Heat is the greatest heist ever put to film. The rest of the movie is fantastic too, but the bank robbery is masterful and worth watching the whole film for on its own. The Definitive Edition has great special features and is a must own if you are looking for the best version of Heat. It's a must own film with stellar performances from Robert De Niro and Al Pacino.

Heat is one of my top ten favorite films of all time and Michael Mann's best movie, IMO. I saw the movie in the theaters in 1995 with my Dad and it was one of the movies that inspired me to become a filmmaker. I bought this version to replace the DVD I own. The picture and sound quality is excellent. Highly recommended.

Do not let the three-hour runtime scare you. You will be on the edge of your seat for the entire ride! I am definitely "team DeNiro" on this one, but Pacino's performance is really good but just doesn't compare to the genius of DeNiro. Val Kilmer was also fantastic. In terms of picture quality, it is a fantastic looking blu-ray. Blacks are deep and the film has a very natural look to it. Lots of scenes take place at night and this disc handles it flawlessly.

I was so happy to get the full directors cut of this movie. Deniro and Pacino are at the top of their game in this masterful Classic. This is one of those movies that drags you in and you dont even realize it's almost 4 hours later when it is done. I just call this movie perfect. the acting, the writing, the direction, I could list all of the talented people that went into this movie. But, I will only add 1 more. Art Direction. You cant go wrong with this film.

This is one of my favourite movies of all time. Characters that you are really rooting for, great cinematography, and some of the most realistic gunfights I've ever seen put on film that I thought set the a new standard in modern cinema. I always read and hear people comparing other movies to Heat when it comes to realistic action. The blu ray itself is a considerable improvement over the previous edition especially in the the sound. The detail is astounding.

Amazing film! This remastered edition of director Michael Mann's classic film looks great and includes new special features (including new interviews, including one moderated by director Christopher Nolan himself!), which big fans of the film will certainly enjoy. Happy with my purchase!

Pacino opposite DeNiro! You need more? Google it and you get this. "Michael Mann's Heat is the Most Laughable Oscar Snub of All Time. Nearly 25 years after it first hit theaters in 1995, Michael Mann's epic crime drama Heat is considered a modern classic." I'll vouch for that. Great cinematography and action.

The best part of the movie was the shoot out after the bank robbery.

Wanted to get a copy to add to our movie library. Enjoyed watching.

I recently had the chance to see this movie in the theater again after the remaster and was blown away by how amazing it looked, and especially how it sounded. Michael Mann is known for having great atmospheric soundtracks to his movies and this one is no exception. Plus the sound of all the action sequences in this movie is tremendous on any decent home theater surround system. See this movie if you haven't!! See it again many times if you have!!

Great movie and actors, and good quality, I enjoyed it!

If you haven't seen Heat or have but don't own it, You must purchase !! With the exception of The Godfather 2, by far the best Pacino & Deniro movie. This movie isn't just a cops & robbers movie, it is an epic!! Soo many amazing actors giving great performances regardless of the amount of time on screen.. Some if the actors & actresses include Tom Sizemore, Ashley Judd, Jeremy Piven, Val Kilmer, Jon Voight.. The list goes on & on. One of my all time favorite movies, definitely Micheal Mann's best film

Still one of the best modern shootouts of any movie.

Heat is a masterpiece! The cast is great, Pacino, De Niro, and Kilmer all showcase stellar performances. The action is superb, the street shootout being a highlight. The characters are interesting and feel very real, the music is great, and the atmosphere created by Michael Mann is something that really draws the audience in. Definitely a must watch!

Michael Mann, baby! Not for kids, but a great movie!

There are so many good actors in this oldie but goodie.

This is a very good movie, good picture and good sound.
