Perfect movie that gives the audience a peek into the deadly game of cat and also cat that goes with highly organized criminal crews and the police that must stop them. De Niro, Pacino, Kilmer, Voight... Hell, even Natile Portman is in this juggernaut. If you have not seen this do yourself a smart-guy favor and blind-buy this already. You will not be disappointed... Even the super creepy "Buffalo Bill" from Silence of the Lambs is a supporting character in this, how crazy is that?!

I have owned this movie on VHS and standard DVD format over the last 20 years and I am so glad I finally got it on Blu-ray. It looks great and the action scenes are so much more intense with the improved sound as well. One of my top 10 or so movies of all time. You can’t go wrong with this, and this is a serious bargain as well. The bonus disc has excellent material on it that I’ve never seen before. Great purchase!

Found this copy of HEAT for $7 noticed it had the dts hd sound track which would allow me to upconvert it to dtsx neural for better height channel effects. My older copy of HEAT had Dolby true hd soundtrack which doesn't sound as good when upmixing with the Dolby surround upmixer. Prefer this copy much better. This is a really good movie with a very solid cast.

Heat (one of Michael Mann's finest works) is a 3-hour epic tale of the good and the bad. The good, led by Al Pacino, are trying to take down the bad, led by Robert DeNiro (but with equally great performances by Val Kilmer, Tom Sizemore, etc.), in a back-and-forth crime drama with action and heart enough for anyone. The coffee shop scene is a meeting of great actors not to be missed. Check it out if you haven't.

This is Michael Mann's masterpiece. Deniro, Pacino and Kilmer are awesome in this movie. The bank heist is still one of the best scenes ever filmed, even 22 years later. Picture and sound are better on this version then on previous blu ray and a couple of good extras make this a must buy if you don't already own this classic film!

Die hard Heat fans already know but if you have never watched get ready to be blown away. The movie is about loving what you do and if it's worth all the Heat that comes with it and worth losing what you have. Every character has an arc that parallels each other. Get this movie what are you waiting for. Great heist movie.

I watched this movie many years ago on DVD and I was excited to revisit it in HD. The release is pristine and it felt like I was watching the movie for the very first time all over again. Due to how long ago I saw it, I can't quickly identify the additions this "Definitive" edition includes but nothing seemed out of place.

Heat is an incredible movie. It features some pulse pounding action, music, and performances by two of the greatest actors of their generation in DeNiro and Pacino. It is a must see and for me at least, a must own. This is the best version of it we have so far, supposedly restored from a 4k scan and supervised by the director himself. Until they finally release it in a 4K UHD blu-ray, this is the one to own!

It's Heat. A classic crime thriller. A battle of wits and guns, and an exploration into the inner psyche of both criminals and police. If that's not enough, the major gun fight is renowned for the techniques used by the actors as well as the sound effects. Always an amazing watch

The dream meeting of Al Pacino and Robert De Niro on screen is made true through this epic film. You have a cop and a criminal, both with their rough histories and pasts, trying to get by with the good things in their personal lives while balancing the harshness of their professional ones. The movie has a solid cast, great writing, looks and sounds great, and you get a digital copy with the Blu-ray itself. Worth the price.

Michael Mann's super cool neo-noir crime drama has never looked better. This is called the "Director's Definitive Edition" and I absolutely agree. I've owned this movie on VHS (a two tape set!), DVD and I don't foresee any reason to purchase it again after this exquisite blu-ray. Highly recommended.

This is a classic you can watch over and over Robert De Nior & Al Pacino together in this movie is Epic normally I tap out on movies that are almost 3 hours but this one keeps you engaged because the acting is so good!

Heat is a masterpiece, and this transfer treats it as such. Video is a huge leap from the standard DVD (though I didn't see the first Blu-Ray transfer), and the sound is great. Even in the intense dialogue scenes, sound isn't dramatically lower to where you have constantly fiddle with your remote when the action scenes kick in. If you're a fan of the film, it's a must have!

Michael Mann's crime opus comes to Blu-ray for the not-first time with a remastered disc that looks a little better than the WB disc, in my opinion, but sounds significantly better. The new extras a very interesting, namely the odd at times, insightful at others, Academy panel hosted by Christopher Nolan. The price is very low for a newly released remaster. Highly recommended.

When they say that this is the director's definitive edition of Heat, they're not messing around. This movie is just packed with bonus features. They have so many bonus features that there's actually a second disc of features on here. This movie is awesome and is packed with so much action and suspense.

Al Pacino, Robert Dinero, and Val Kimer, all great actors made an awesome bank robbery movie. The storyline was great throughout. It keeps your adrenalin flowing and you glued to your seat for about 3 hours. Definitely one of my top 10 movies!

This definitive director edition is done right. The clarity and sound of this blu-ray is amazing. The sound is well mixed and picture quality is clear. This movie actually looks as if it was made 2 yrs ago, with costumes, makeup, sets and props. Best Michael Mann film to me. Highly Recommended.

Pacino and De Niro. What more can you ask for? This movie can be slow at times but it's a movie I can watch over and over. Who doesn't crank up their surround sound during the shootout on the street when the automatic gunfire is going on? You can hear the shells dropping on the ground and feel the room rock from exchange of gunfire. Awesome!
