I was waiting for a version on blu-ray with a digital copy to come out at a reasonable price. Couldn’t be more pleased with the quality of the video. Five thumbs up.

One of the finest films ever made, Michael Mann's Heat reunites our two greatest living actors, Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, in a truly astounding crime film. Mann, ever a perfectionist, has released this definitive edition, and everyone should seek it out.

I love this movie, it's one of my favorites. The firefight at the end is classic and very well done. Great characters and has a powerful theme that was well integrated and executed.

It’s an excellent movie, having two the greatest actors of the history. I have no doubt about it. The entire story is great from the beginning to the end. You must have this at home.

This recent release of Heat on Blu-ray is easily the most comprehensive release so far, with an excellent transfer and a satisfying offering of bonus content. At the sub $10 price point this is a classic, well made film anyone should have in their collection.

Michael Mann has crafted a great thriller with an ensemble cast that, among others, has the rarely seen together Pacino and De Niro. A must watch! This Blu Ray edition will be a welcome addition to any film buff’s collection.

Fantastic movie and cast. This edition doesn't provide any Criterion like additional supplements and the changes to the movie are minimal overall. Fans or completists like myself will buy at this price point. Wouldn't be suprised if another edition comes out in future.

Michael Mann's best film - bar none! This is a great looking blu-ray with all of the previous bonus features included from the old 2-disc dvd set (plus a couple new ones). This is Michael Mann's slightly edited cut (and re-color graded) so if you're a stickler for that stuff, you'll have to wait a while longer for the truly definitive edition (hopefully on 4k). For everyone else, this is a great buy!

This is a CLASSIC movie! One of the best crime dramas ever. The picture transfer on blu ray looks great and is an awesome addition to any blu ray collection!

I’ve loved this movie since it came out in 1995. With Michael Mann overseeing the 4K picture and DTS sound updates, you get the full feel of the film. No extra footage was added, just the picture and sound updates.

A group of professional bank robbers start to feel the heat from police when they unknowingly leave a clue at their latest heist. Great movie. Picture quality is great. The sound was great. Get it!

I already have owned this movie in several formats or another, I had upgraded to BluRay, but wanted to watch it at work with some of my crew. We only have a DVD player so i bought this. The movie is great in whatever format you buy it in. It is a living classic.

Absolutely phenomenal superb quality & sound on BluRay. Exceptional features and just an overall fun movie to own & watch over & over again. Intense scenes meant for the best quality viewing & all on one disc. No more switching discs to finish the movie!

I wasn't impressed with the previous blu ray releases of Heat. On previous editions, the colors looked washed out and some shots were clearly low res just scaled up to 1080p to fit the screen. Although there are a couple of instances of that in this release, they did a great job with the colors and didn't do away with the film grain, which I absolutely love. Extras are OK, not great. Was a bit disappointed it didn't come with a slip cover so I will knock a star off for that.

1996 was a decent year for films. but this movie ended it with a literal bang. modern film noir at it's height at the time. it is slick, stylish, deep, and a lush story. can't help being pulled in. need to watch it at least once (or 100 times) in your lifetime.

'A Los Angeles crime saga' is exactly the way to describe this monumental piece of mid-90's film-making. Complete with an all-star cast and a director at the top of his game, 'Heat' finally comes to Blu-Ray and is a must-own for any serious film collector.

this is your general shoot em up action flick...still good story line...and of course 2 iconic actors face-off...what sold me on the movie was the dialog between robert and al...good acting with all...other identifiable actors, even young little natalie portman...blu-ray pretty descent
