I've never actually owned a copy of this. When I found it in best buy on Bluray for $7.99 I Freaked and bought it IMMEDIATELY.

Just dumb fun! If you are a cult film fan of old 80s cartoons and metal music this is the perfect mash-up.

love this movie from the 80s. I was lucky to find the animated adult movie as it was the last one one shelf smh...

I never get tired of watching this movie. Not only is it a cult classic, but the music just makes it that much better. And to mention the cast of voices.

Awesome classic animated movie never knew it was i always thought this was a movie with real people

This is one of the best animated movies of all time but not for kids.

It was hard for me to believe that the director of "Heavy Metal," Gerald Potterton, had also directed silent great, Buster Keaton in "The Railrodder." When I asked him, "How did that happen?" his answer was simple. "Hollywood is a strange place." And, in my opinion, "Heavy Metal" a strange movie. Perhaps groundbreaking at the time of its release, it certainly is dated. Of course, the magazine upon which it was based, is of the same spirit.. But the soundtrack is fantastic and I'd highly recommend tracking down a copy.

This movie has been around a long time. Going from Film, to video tape, to DVD, and now Bluray I must say it looks good. Several stories that link together well.

Being a rock music type of guy I've always loved this movie. The stories are interesting as well. A great time for adults who are fans of animation and good jams.

Great 80s movie it is a classic great that they put it on blu ray it has the best of the 80s music

This movie is an oddball one, but of you were an 80s baby, into rock, then this is the movie for you. While it seems a bit weird, it does have a story line, plot.

Good music. Decent animation. Lots of scantily clad animation babes. Fun to relive the old midnight showings of this movie.

A fav from the past. It is like a USA attempt at doing Anime. Some great art throughout the film.
