I lost my original VHS copy of this movie and was so glad to see that not only was it available at Best Buy, it was in Blu-ray.

Since Best Buy seems intent on not letting me voice my opinions on this film, I'll keep it short and sweet. Cool drawings, loosely connected plot, intentionally crude and dated animation, old voiceover and subpar audio, standard menu, heroine Taarna is as iconic as Mickey Mouse. A true X Generation classic. Would recommend to anyone who doesn't remember the original, and wants to go down memory lane.

When I was a kid, I loved this movie! When I saw it was available on Blu-Ray in high definition, I jumped all over the opportunity to rekindle my memories of this film. Although the story is still good, and the soundtrack is great, the animation has not held up well over time. There was obviously not a large budget with this transfer to Blu, as there are many artifacts and dirt easily visible while watching it. Since this isn't a movie with the backing of someone like Disney, I doubt there will be any changes with this in future versions. If you're a huge fan, I'd still recommend getting it since its the best you can get. Otherwise, just pull out your old DVD or rent it
