Not a very well known piece of American history. Watch it.

This is a great movie. Although it has been reported that some of the NASA characters are fictitious and there are occasional exaggerations of actual occurrences, the foundation of the story is true. Even John Glenn asking "the girl" to verify the calculations of his trajectories is accurate. The movie is very inspiring and represents an important part of NASA history.

Octavia Spencer Taraji P Henson Plus Janelle Monae Make This Special Because They Are Excellent Actresses And The Story Line Was True/. Getting John Glenn Into Space And Back Home Alive.They Worked Around Prejudice and Sexism to Get The Job Done Kevon Costner was marvelous as the had man who made it possible for these women to work if you have young kids ths is the movie

loved the movie, to bad a lot of things are hidden

Like the title says, they were Hidden figures we knew nothing about. The three main characters were not only driven and smart, they played both a key and important role in NASA and world history. The film did an excellent job with some of the sensitive subjects like the civil rights movement by educating you about that time in history, instead of making a statement about it.

Why it took so many years for this story to be told is beside me. Women have been making historic contributions to history, and their stories are still untold. The fact that women significantly contributed to our space program is historic, and the fact they were black women is even more historic. What a fascinating film, told in facts, honestly and straight forward. BRAVO!!!

HIDDEN FIGURES is, in my opinion, the best US feature of 2016. This Blu-ray DVD edition allows me to revisit this much overlooked aspect of US & NASA history and enjoy the fantastic production details, all around superior acting and rocking sound track again and again. DVD visual and audio quality is excellent. Colors and music are true to the theatrical experience.

It is amazing how much we do not hear of accomplishments of individuals who work in the background. This is a very informative and very important motion picture for ALL to see. The hypocrisy and unwarranted discrimination of fellow coworkers unfortunately still exist today. This is a moving and emotional film makes you proud of our achievements of the space program.

Seen the movie in the movie theater, then rented it at Redbox, and then brought it during black friday at Best Buy. Yes I guess you can say it a great movie. Very education movie about the beginning of the Nasa. How three women, that are black help Nasa get the Mercury Seven in space and back to earth. During the early sixties segregation of the south.

This movie is awesome! Everyone should see it, no matter the age. There are lessons to take from it. You will blast through many emotions from sad, to happy, to disappointment, to OMG! The ladies did an excellent job at portraying their characters and telling this compelling story. I can not understand why this did not win an Oscar.

An excellent movie showing what this country can do with the great minds we have. And it gives those who contributed so much for so little not in just money but treatment because of the color issue in those days. God bless the wonderful people who gave this country so much. I would give these movie six stars if it was possible. A movie well worth watching.

This is a great movie! The characters are interesting and the acting is beyond belief. The contribution of this group of women to the space program is unbelievable. The depiction of the racial climate in the 60's is spot on. A rare masterpiece in this age of superhero movies. These are the real super heroes we should be making movies about.

Excellent story line and awesome talented actress and actors. I purchased this movie and took it with me on a bus ride to Philadelphia. No one on the bus had seen the movie. By the time that the trip was over people wanted to know where I purchase the movie, my response Best Buy and the sale ends tomorrow. People were going to purchase there own copies.

Years back I read some information on the space projects conducted during this time frame and did not realize the individuals mentioned in the documents I read had played such an important roll in getting a man into space. After viewing this video, it answered a number of questions and gave me more incite into how distorted History can be.

My wife and I love this movie! It has both human elements and technology with some interesting math concepts that made it possible to get to the moon and back. The acting is exceptional and you will quickly be cheering for the woman who had a huge part in NASA’s success.

This movie was so well done that even though it's not my usual genre for repeat watches, it is one that I've found myself choosing over other movies. All of the acting in the movie was spot on, and I love how well they portrayed everything about the time and situation. While infuriating, it is fascinating how people in that time period thought...
