One of the best movies I've seen in years. Acting, writing, story, and atmosphere out of this world! So many good scenes...some bad scenes too (racism will never look good). These ladies did the math that ran circles around those who couldn't keep them down. The orbits they created were literally over the moon. Inspiring and authentic...get it!

I saw the movie first and loved it so much I bought the book. The book was very different from the movie. The book seemed more of a history book but, I loved it. I recommend the book as well as the movie. I understand they did more research on the individual women which allowed more insight into the women and what they went through.

It is a wonderful movie although it is about the poor way which this nation has treated minorities, especially minority women; and how much this nation would have suffered without their quiet contribution which has taken so long to be acknowledged. Terrific performances all around.

I bought it for my wife, with some positive expectations. Fast-paced, enthralling. Key character, Katherine Johnson, is still alive in her late 90s; interviews included. Movie took some poetic license: Most specifically, her second marriage (after being widowed) took place before the story began, not at the end. A great American story!

This is an excellent movie, reminding viewers of the manual efforts involved in the math necessary to get our early space voyages launched and landed successfully. Also a good reminder of the discrimination against African Americans at that time in our history. Those interested in space flight and early NASA will enjoy this movie.

... is the word. Not so much that they were African Americans but they were women. The story was kind of stretched as I understand that there were no segregated dining rooms at NASA and the character of Octavia Spencer was already promoted when the movie starts. Nice to see Octavia campaigning for the Oscar knowing that Viola D was a sho-in

This is an incredibly well-acted drama on factual American history, offering insight & knowledge of important events--basically deleted from most known history books! The women, who's roles were so pivotal to NASA's early days should be recommended viewing for all Americans, bar none! A solid and important imprint for all Americans to view!

Loved this movie. Good for the whole family. Educational. Motivational. Starts real conversations. Shows what is possible if you put your mind to it. Nice to enjoy a piece of history that reflected a group of people rarely shown-strong, gifted, persistent, moral, loyal women of color. Couldn't wait to show my niece! Good movie!

This film has such an interesting story to it, I imagine the racism they actually experienced in real life was worse than what is shown in the film. I really liked that is based on a true story, that made it all the more fascinating. Mary is my favourite character, she has such aplomb! I would recommend this film to everyone!

I lived the 60's and I remember the space launches. I also remember the segregation which I am hoping we are through with. I very much enjoyed each aspect of this story and film. I would highly recommend watching this one over and over. This is especially educational to those that don't think race mattered back then.

Hands down my favorite film of 2016. An inspirational true story about the team of African-American women who played a very important part at NASA. Before seeing this film, I had no prior knowledge of the history of NASA and definitely learned a lot with this film. Taraji P Henson steals the show with her incredible acting.

Hidden Figures was definitely one of my favorite movies of 2017. I loved the ensemble cast. Not to mention, the movie was very INSPIRATIONAL. I saw this movie in theaters, and as soon as it went off, I knew I wanted to purchase it on DVD. Yes, this movie had to be a part of my movie collection at home for sure. 2 Thumbs Way Up!!!

This move had everything needed to be a classic: history, social struggle, interpersonal relationships, civil rights & women's issues - but not in-your-face, rather simple truth that spoke loud and clear. Fantastic extras that made me re-watch the film again. Good job by all the actors and screenwriter and Director.

Fantastic movie. Both saw it in the theaters and bought it for ourselves even though we're trying to keep our personal movie collection small (it all fits on one small shelf). This one was a must! Appreciated the good quality disc, case, and the included digital copy for watching on our other devices.

This is a true story...who knew?! It's time the true story was told. They saved John Glenn's life!! Don't Stream!! Please support home videos!! Support 3D!! Don't give them power over what you watch by depending on someone elses server to keep you're videos on.. Use the cloud as a back-up to the Hard Copy you have in hand!!!

Hidden figures was a wonderful little film that showed the garbage women of color had to put up with in this country. Not much has changed for them now in some areas of the USA. The cast was perfect, the timing was right on and the sound mixer did a great job with the music in the background so it wouldn't drown anyone out.

I bought this video for my collection of movies that I would consider worthy to have to show the future generations of what it takes to make it in a whole that is full of discrimination and unconscious bias. This movie is well documented and very encouraging! Very well done. (PS I saw this movie twice on the big screen).

Taraji Henson, Octavia Spencer and Janell Monae give outstanding performances, with capable support from Kevin Costner. The obstacles faced by the protagonists are truly sobering, and their courage and perseverance in overcoming them is inspiring. A good performance by Jim Parsons in an unexpected role is a bonus.

Hidden Figures brought to light the incredible contributions of black women, particularly three of them, who worked at NASA in its early days. Great story and great acting. Was hard to find the DVD, but Best Buy offered it at a very good price. Thanks, Best Buy.

Truly enjoyed this movie. It jolted me to go and purchase the book. I realize most movies rush through details and I'm hoping the book fills in some missing pieces for me. This movie should be shared by the young & not so young. Great detail and thought provoking. Also a reminder of some very rough spots in early America.
