    HORRIBLE PICTURE with Cable!!! Pictures attached

    Maybe everyone buys these smart tv's because they don't watch anything on cable anymore, but I actually still do watch cable. Just bought this for Christmas, so it has been set up for a total of 4 days. Tonight I go to watch the Ohio State - USC game (hate both teams, but it's football) and the picture is abysmal!! So here are the facts: -This is set up in a bedroom -This is connected to a cable box with a new coax cable -The cable box is provided by Comcast (yup, they suck, I know) -Previously this box was in the same bedroom with the same cable connected to a Vizio Smart TV that was 24" and about 5 years old So, back to the game. When the picture is stagnant it is tolerable, but not great. As soon as the players start moving there is so much distortion and pixelation around them! You can hardly even see what is going on. Just to make sure this wasn't an issue with the cable box I hooked back up the old Vizio and the picture was greatly improved. Clear. No motion blur. Hook the Hisense back up and it is back to absolute trash. Get out the Hisense booklet and call the "customer service" number and that was the biggest joke in the history of the world. All they cared about was getting my personal information and address. I attempted to tell "Sha-knee" what the issue was but she didn't want to hear it. I asked if there were any settings that I might need to adjust (even though i had messed with them for 30 minutes before calling) and she told me the only thing I could do was to take pictures and send them in an email. After "48 business hours" they would look at the issue and see if they would send a technician out. LMFAO! Send a technician out?? I just bought the thing a week ago, nobody is coming to take it apart and work on it. I'll just take it back. I will say that watching Netflix and Amazon the picture looks perfectly fine, but this is TOTALLY unacceptable for watching cable tv. Take a look at the attached pictures. You can see the score in the lower right corner is fairly clear (so you don't think it is my camera as the issue) and compare that to the blur on the screen of the players. I am really mad that I found a great deal that will now be returned and anything else comparable in size will cost more I'm sure! The customer service (lack of) is what sealed the deal that this is junk to me!

    TV Picture was great. But the TV's speakers were terrible. They buzzed. I thought it was feedback, but over two days I tried every single configuration, location, and other devices around. I changed rooms. The feedback is in the speakers, so I've concluded the speakers are defective. I unfortunately threw out the box and receipt for this TV. So I own this. And wasted a few hundred bucks. I DO NOT RECOMMEND unless you plan to hook this up to some kind of external speakers or sound bar.

    Need to Work out the Bugs

    From the time it came out of the box, this TV had a fatal flaw. The volume turns up on its own, without my touching the remote! Called geeks, and several calls to Hisense, who then sent a repairman who replaced the entire board (no effect on problem); also tried getting all the cable stuff replaced (still no effect). So it went back to the store. I will say that Hisense customer service was surprisingly attentive through it all. They just had no idea what was wrong with this TV.

    I got this TV on 11-1-17 and it had trouble connecting to my WiFi from the get-go. I reset to factory default and tried other remedies that had worked for others, called customer service, did an online chat, all to no avail. My first tech visit had to be scheduled for after Christmas, because, you know, Christmas. The repair guy came out on 12-29-17 and he couldn't get it to work; the part that Hisense had shipped to me for the repair was defective. I scheduled another visit, and before the repair guy could arrive, the TV quit turning off. I could turn it off with the remote and 10 seconds later it turned itself on again (scared the heck out of me the first time it did it). So I took to unplugging it to turn it off. Repair guy came out the second time on 1/15/18 and the parts that were sent by Hisense did not fix the wifi issue but did (temporarily) fix the turning-it-off issue. Today, 1-19-18, I return home and the TV won't turn on at all. So now Hisense is sending me a box with label for me to ship it back to them so that they can attempt to fix this piece of junk. That whole process is likely to take 3 weeks from today until I get the thing back, and I'm willing to bet that if it is returned to me in working condition that it doesn't work long. I am currently shopping for my next TV as I have zero hope that this one is going to work out or that I will get my money back, given the unhelpfulness of Hisense "customer service". If you're OK with gambling that you'll have to deal with this kind of headache, then go right ahead and buy this TV. The picture, when it's working, is in fact decent, but at this point I'm beyond caring. I've put way too much time into this machine, I would have been better off with one of the big S's.

    This TV was a total waste. It won't stay on. It freezes or make this terrible loud noice that will not stop unless you unplug devise. Will freeze or kick you out of app at least two more times before your able to watch. I would've taken back, however I was in the middle of a divorce and had to leave the state, without the TV. Guess what I got the crap TV in the divorce.

    Tv randomly makes long beep noise without stopping only way to stop it is to unplug the tv and plug it back in. This happens daily. You get what you pay for but I had heard good things and had read reviews on the tv itsself before coming in and purchasing it that day.

    When I got it out and hooked it up, even during setup the picture was washed out. Once I got through setup and tried to mess with the settings it was staying washed out no matter what like the lcd was broken. Returning it for a different brand.

    It worked ok for about two weeks and then it began to freeze. It wouldnt turn off with the control or with the front power button. Only way was to unplug it. To bad I couldnt take it back because it had been passed the 15 days.

    It is horrible, the picture is horrible, the sound is also very bad. Spend a few extra bucks and get a Samsung

    Piece of junk

    We had this for less than 8 months and it died. It was originally purchased to use as a temp replacement while our big screen was being repaired. After a couple of weeks it was placed in our bedroom, and obviously used far less than the main tv. I will never buy this brand again. Absolute junk and not worth $100 let alone $200.
