I prefer the Google TV interface/experience over the other smart TV interfaces. It is highly usable and responsive. Sound is decent enough to get by without a soundbar.

The promo picture is absolutely great, when we got it home the picture didn't seem to be as sharp as the direct feed from the promo. We were looking for a TV because we were having problems with the fire stick setup but what we found was that this TV was very difficult to set up. Both my wife and I are in our 60s and we don't consider ourselves tech savvy, but we really had a difficult time setting this TV up. Also the remote control seem to be very cheap which put us in the middle of the road in terms of how we feel about the TV.

However, the upscaling procedure doesn't transform a lower resolution into a higher one; it's more of an approximation. Consequently, an image upscaled to fit the pixel count of a TV screen won't resemble an image originally filmed in 4K. The surprisingly good although I have heard the longevity may be an issue. Can you speak to that just yet.

If you want to use built in video apps you MUST create a Google account to login with. I set this up for my 4 year old, and set it as a child account with my parent account in charge. A child account cannot change inputs on the tv and there is no fix for it from Google. I just think it’s stupid to require a Google account to use the displays built in apps. My LG doesn’t do that. Seems needless. As far as the display is, it is a reasonable tv. Nothing special.

No WiFi Capability

Albeit, I purchased it open box and I wasn't actually able to get it set up until the 32nd day after purchase. It's so frustrating to have a smart tv you can't connect to as a streaming device. I have enjoyed many previous purchases of open boxes or floor models, including a CD/ tape player/ radio boom box in '90 that I still have and it works (from a small store no longer in business).
