Please perform a factory reset on the television by going to Settings>Device Preferences>Reset. The television will then shut off and after coming back on will prompt you to set up the TV like when it was just out of box. I purchased this TV through a student deal from Best Buy (199.99) and I’ve heard great things about Hisense so I thought I’d make this my first Hisense purchase and, maybe, I’d buy another bigger one down the line. Setup was simple enough, but that’s, honestly, where the positives end. The Android software is convoluted, sluggish, and the antithesis of user friendly. Every time you close an app, it wouldn’t really close it but just put it in the background, slowing the TV to oblivion. Both the YouTubeTV and VUDU apps never opened, and if they did, they never played anything! I stared at a black screen for at least 5 minutes at a time and still nothing. Next, the inputs...oh, the inputs. Attempted to connect my Sony x700 (that I had connected to another TV for months and no problems) and, although the TV recognized the device, it would not put it up on screen (stared at another black screen for at least 5 minutes waiting. When it finally did come on, the input flashed over and over again. Obviously something is horribly wrong with these inputs, and my ROKU may have given me the answer. They advertise being able to handle an output of 4K at 60Hz, but I couldn’t get it with my ROKU device to ever output it. In the end, this TV is disappointing and not worth the hassle at all. I wanted to give a shot to a brand outside the Big Four (LG, Sony, Samsung, and Vizio) but this TV proves that Hisense leave A LOT to be desired.
