I bought this tv actually thinking it was a Roku and ended up being very disappointed. It works pretty much on the same basis as an Android phone. You can download apps from Google Play but when it updates, it tend to freeze....big downfall. The picture was pretty but is is so slow and it buffered too much. It kept disconnecting from Google Assistant which really bummed me out. I could not find a functional phone remote like with Roku. I probably could have called Geek Squad for assistance since I also purchased the protection plan but it basically just was not what I was looking for so I took it back and exchanged it for Roku.

From reading some past reviews, I wasn’t expecting very much from this TV due to the amazing freaking price I bought it for but WOW this tv is freaking GREAT! it’s better than the $500 one my boyfriend has. Everything about it is amazing from sound, to picture, everythingggg! Definitely worth it!

I bought this 50" TV during black Friday sale for $199, I always had the lowest expectations to mitigate my disappointment but this one surprised me. It's actually good. Now this felt like a good buy for me. The only thing I was disappointed on the Dolby vision which was mentioned on the catalog pictures but this TV doesn't have Dolby vision. It's just 4k HDR. See the attached picture for reference. Except that part, everything is a 5 star for the value

I have the 50" 4K UHD Android TV. No need for a soundbar with this TV. The sound is Great. Having Bluetooth was a definite deciding factor. Many similarly priced TVs don't have it. Some for a hundred dollars more even. Great picture and easy access to my apps being Android TV.

Same review as 43 in Hisense. Are you looking to purchase an Hisense Android TV? Is it appealing to you eyes? DON'T!!! (Cause the devil is a liar!!!) Please, please don't do it! I implore you, from the very depths of my soul. Do not do this to yourself... unless you are interested in torturing yourself. My sister and I both purchased this android tv last year. Jess got the 50in and I got the 43in. Unfortunately, we kept it boxed while we fixed the house, so it was set up after we could return it to Best Buy. We have had issues with this from day one. I included a pic of my tv. I was watching it and BOOM, the screen went black. My 1st pic is of the tv TURNED ON! This happened while I was writing this review. Do you want to know how to verify if the tv is off? There is a red light that stays on under the Hisense label. (I have included a 2nd pic of the tv turned off.) The only way I can turn off the tv is to unplug it. The screen will remain black until I do this. The last pic I included is the tv rebooting again. So you might be thinking, perhaps it is a fluke. Maybe I got a lemon. But NOPE!! My sister's tv is actually worse than mine. This happens to her about 2 times a day. With me, maybe once or twice every two days. As for the technical stuff, sure, it has wonderful pic quality...WHEN IT WORKS. The sound is pretty good too. But there is no guarantee that you can get through a movie. So what's the point? I do not know what I was thinking purchasing this tv, I should have stuck with Samsung, but NOOOOOOO, I convinced that poor woman that android tv was the way to go. She bought this tv because of me! So you can imagine when it is not working the kind of looks I get in the house. I apologize for my ranting but I am trying to explain how frustrating it is to try and watch a movie when your tv has a sadistic personality: How dare you pause me, Now I am going to stay paused and if you complain, I will go black!" So once again, DO NOT DO IT! If I walk ahead of you and step on dog poop, I will stop and warn you to watch your step. If you decide not to listen, then it's on you, right!?!? Now I have to shop for another television, because this one is about to have an accident. Tootles

Worst tv ever! Is there a recall on these?? If not, it should be! I bought this tv last year(2020). Here it is Jun 2021 & the screen goes blank. Sometimes you have sound & no picture. Constantly reboot everyday! If I want to rewind to catch a scene it freezes, then I have to change to another channel then go back to the original channel to unfreeze it?! By then its too late! All these issues for a tv & I had this tv 11 1/2 mos?? I had my LG 7 years NO PROBLEMS, thats the only reason I bought this pandemic tv, my LG quit!! Pics:1 Guide but notice the pic in a box is blank. 2: Screen is totally blank. 3: Tv is on, no picture for over an hour!

If you cast your phone, the video and the TV is literally 2 minutes behind the picture or video on the phone. I know its the TV because the Sony in the next room don't lag. Also, it constantly buffers and disconnects from wifi. Only device in the house with these problems. Not sure about other Hisense models but save your money on this one.

Please perform a factor reset on the unit. A factory reset can be done by going to Settings>Device Preferences>Reset. Just received this TV and very happy with it. We use in the bedroom and doesn't disappoint. Very easy to setup especially if you use Google for everything like we do. Sound is better than I thought it would be. I enjoy Android TV more than I thought I would. The picture is excellent. Very pleased with purchase!

I bought this one to use with my Xbox One X. It it's great a great deal because it offers all the most advanced features for less than $300 in a 50" screen. You will be able to watch in 4k, Dolby Vision, HDR10, 120 Hz refresh rate, as long as you have a player, streamming service or game compatible with these features. The Xbox One X is a great player for all of them if you have games and/or subscribe to streamming services that provide content with those features (you will find those features tags in the content screen). However, those features were only activated after switching the input mode to game mode (in the Xbox One X video settings screen you can verify if all of them are checked out). I have not tested the tv performance using its native AndroidTv and I did not like the interface either ( I just think it works great as a monitor for an external content source, live the Xbox One X). Also, I have not tested the sound quality because I use Dolby Atmos on my headphones thought the video game controller. Tip: connect the TV to the internet to keep its firmware updated (Thanks Hisense for providing software updates). Enjoy it! :)

For $199 this TV is a fantastic deal considering its size and 4K HDR10+Dolby Vision features. Setup is easy and the Android OS is responsive; however it takes a while to load. For full compatibility with Xbox One it requires the following: 1. Update TV firmware 2. Change XBox to allow YCC4:2:2 3. Change TV display HDMI mode to "extended" 4. Use original Xbox One HDMI cable. Picture -1 star due to worse than average backlight. -minor light bleed from corners -recommend “vivid” mode with dynamic contrast on high for best movie quality

Everything with this tv has been great, I’ve had it almost two months with no issues. The picture is amazing and the sound is phenomenal for a tv without a sound bar, doesn’t need a sound bar at all to projector you. The reason I can’t give this 5 stars is because of the remote or rather the batteries that came with it. I don’t expect much if included batteries at all, they last a month and I’m okay with that. However these batteries EXPLODED in my remote and leaked all over my bed. My remote is now FRIED and I’m upset because I can now only control it via other apps that support casting to the apps or the tv itself. I’ve only been using Tubi because I can change the volume on there for the whole tv. I’m sure there’s an app to control my tv but I shouldn’t have to use it when the tv came with a nice remote. I hate having no physical remote. This is RESPONSIBLY adult owned with no kids in the house at any time there’s no excuse for this shoddy remote batteries. Does a warranty even cover a remote?!

I've never bought a Hisense brand TV before but I took a chance on a great price for a 50" 4K w/ Android TV (the best built in service). I'm very happy w/ my purchase...it may not be the fastest reacting TV on the market but the picture quality is top notch and like I said, w/ Android TV built in I am able to make it my own. Highly recommend!

I did a thorough research before Black Friday to see which was the best value TV available. I didn't want to spend too much money on it as I planned to use it in one of the bedrooms. Hisense came up as one of the best value brands and I decided to focus on their options as they had some of the best options for these holidays (price and features-wise). When I found this TV I had to think it a few times before hitting the checkout button; however, I got my TV already and it's way better than I expected. Powered by Google and its Android software, the TV has a broad spectrum of entertainment options thanks to Android TV and Google Play; it is amazing for streaming. Also, the picture quality is shocking for the price, and contrary to other reviews that said the TV was unresponsive at moments, mine has been working pretty well. I recommend everyone this product, especially for the price it has right now ($199 plus tax it's a bargain!). I'll also keep an eye on Hisense as they are improving year by year. PD: I suggest you using the picture mode "Theater Night" for better picture quality.

I have had this TV for just over 3 YEARS. I have had them all Sony to Samsung and by far this is the best TV out there. The picture is perfect and the sound is incredible Loud,Clear and perfect amount of Base. Just remember the size of the TV should should be considered when buying. If the TV is too large for the room it will look blurry. Remember you’re buying this not to impress but to enjoy. The picture was taken off of Amazon fire stick 4K YouTube TV.
