I previously posted a review about this TV and the TV is great this is about Best Buy's terrible customer service and return policy. When me and my wife purchased the TV it was $499 and this week it's on sale for $379 so we wanted to get a price adjustment and Best Buy customer service told us it was nothing they can do because we were outside of the return date by 4 days. I think that's real bad customer service considering I've been shopping at Best Buy for over 16 years and $120 is a lot of money considering we just bought the TV 19 days ago and my personal opinion 15 days is a bad return and price adjustment policy on TV. Considering that we just spent $500 plus tax 19 days ago Best Buy customer service should have been willing to work with us for thumps down for customer service thumbs up on the TV great TV.

Before the Hisense TV. I had a Vizio E series 50" LED Smart TV. And that was a great television but I always wanted a 4K TV but could never afford it and that is when I came across the Hisense 4K 50 inch with High Dynamic Range. Now I only buy name brand TV's but after reading all the reviews on Best Buy, I decided to take a chance on the Hisense. Let me tell you I don't regret it at all. A lot of reasons to go with Hisense and Ill list them now. You get a 4 year warranty, Price is insane for what you are getting, easy to set up, compatible with outside devices such as Xbox One or PS4, and last but not least the picture is incredible!!! You won't be sorry with this purchase!!!

Bought this because I just got the Xbox one X and it’s amazing for the price. 4K with HDR10 for just shy under $500 with tax can’t be beat. Very good speakers, nice vibrant colors, and deep blacks.Only drawback I see is the viewing angle from the side gets a bit washed out but still looks good. I don’t game from an angle so it’s really good for me. The smallest one I could get was this 50 inch. I don’t need anything bigger than that. This is my first 4k tv so I’m really impressed with the cost to feature ratio of this tv. Make sure to update the tv because there is an update for it. I’ve attached a photo to show what the Xbox One X shows when showing for compatibility of this tv.

I got this tv from bestbuy for $399... cheap price... read tons of reviews online.. it was a choice between this one and an LG HDR for $499...
went with this set... very average 4k set.
At $399 can't beat it I guess, but nothing special at all.

DO NOT waste your money on this cheap brand. From the first week I bought this TV I had issues with the apps not connecting properly and freezing and it was not my internet connection. They had a technician come out and they replaced the mother board but I still had multiple issues the 2 years I’ve had it from the sound randomly going out, Netflix not connecting and now horizontal lines showing up on the bottom half of my screen. I’ve contacted Hisense and they said they only have a 1 year warranty and can’t do anything about it. Never again will I buy a Hisense product, I am so disappointed.

Got this on sale and what an amazing deal it is. It replaced a 5 year old sharp 42 inch 1080P LCD and what a difference! Im a huge gamer and have no input lag as far as I an tell on my xbox one, PS3 and Wii U. Make sure you do the firmware update! After some tweaking and playing with the settings im blown away by the picture as I feel its on par with samsung, lg and sony entry 4k models. Keep in mind that this HDR 10 but that is still a huge plus. The black levels are great as is color accuracy. Also the 4 year warranty gives you peace of mind. I highly recommend this TV as its a great deal and I couldn't be happier!

This was the worse purchase I have ever made. The first delivered TV came with an obvious broken screen out of the box. I was sent another TV when I turned on this one it had a broken screen underneath the top screen which looked like a black map in the middle of the screen. I finally received a refund from BB but no compensation for all the headaches I went through with sending these TV's back and a dozen phone calls. It was like this nightmare was just forgotten to this day. I was never so upset with a purchase and I am an Elite customer?.

I purchased this TV the middle of October. By the middle of December the TV wouldn't come on. Too late to return. Had servicemen come out with a part.. Not the correct part. Now waiting for another part. The servicemen said there had been issues with this TV. Yes, it's the first week of January and still no working TV. Thank goodness it's not my main TV. Will never buy a Hisense or Sharp TV ever! Oh, plus I over paid for the TV.

Hisense or Nonsense ?

I really wanted in to give this TV a shot. It just would not work for me so I took it back, got a LG and am very happy with it. After years of setting up TVs for myself and family, I could not get this set dialed in at all. The picture was all over the place , very frustrating. After about 15 minutes the LG had a super good picture and was all set up.
Needless to say, my first experience with Hisense was not good.
Get an LG , Samsung or Sony and be done with it. If it costs an extra $50 it is worth it.

Like many, I never heard of the Hisense brand before visiting the Best Buy website. I liked that the company offered a four year warranty on the TV. As you know, most companies only offer a one year warranty. The TV has all the newest specs including 4K quality and HDR. So far, I am pleasantly surprised by the picture quality and will definitely buy more Hisense products in the future.

This is a smart tV, but has no app store. Can't get apps you want like MLB.tv, Hulu, DirecTV, etc.
Also, can't return or even exchange the item for store credit past 15 days. I wanted to simply exchange it for a bigger tv with an app store and they wouldn't let me. Antiquated return policy is really frustrating, I gave Best Buy a chance and will never choose them again over other online retailers.

Hi AmFrank! This TV does have an app store (Opera), where you can download applications. Currently, Hisense TV's do not include Hulu App. The TV comes pre-loaded with these Apps: Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Vudu, Youtube, Ultraflix, Pandora, Web Browser (Opera). I must have got a bad one because the picture quality was really bad. In store mode it looked exactly like in the store, but everything else was off. I didn't want to take a chance on getting another one so I exchanged it for another tv. You might have better luck than me, but I can't recommend this tv.

This TV was outstanding right out of the box. It is plug-and-play simple, and provides a picture with clarity, reality, and definition which rivals sets costing 4 times more. I have owned several Panasonic Viera Plasma TV's as that was the best technology of that era. This new technology blows any previous technology right out of the water. Setup was extremely easy. Remote is well laid out and simple to operate. WiFi connection to Netflix, Hulu, and others is seamless and provides great picture with no stutter or pixelation. Clarity is equivalent to that of sitting in a movie theater with the big screen. I would highly recommend HiSense (American made now in Georgia) to anyone. I just got this set home and watched one movie and several TV shows and could not believe the improvement in viewability. I'm not a TV junkie, but viewing programming via this model is like cleaning your car windshield after a dust storm. Clarity and image improvement are incredible. I could not wait to get to my computer to write this review and share my joy with others who may be looking. HiSense recently sponsored a NASCAR race and I knew then they were serious about making end-roads into the US market with name recognition. If they are willing to invest, then so was I. I am not disappointed at all!! All smiles here!
