This is probably the best picture quality TV you can buy for $400. The color is very accurate. The whole bedroom is like a theater now. The bright is very bright. The dark is very dark.

Honestly it's worth the money to get this tv if you want a 4k tv that has all the features. The only thing I will say is meh is it's a little laggy if you don't restart or fully turn it off once in a while and the true motion 240hz is kinda flakey because it makes the backlight flicker witch gives you a slight headache so make sure to only turn that on when gaming. The contrast for it is amazing tho so if you really love movies and tv it does really well especially with HDR.

You might question the brand name, but I checked elsewhere and it has good reviews. The picture is nice and it integrates with my Google home so I can say things like turn off the tv or turn up the volume.

Ive had this tv for a year and i gave it 3 stars because the sound and image quality is good BUT everything else is bad. i loose image a lot, android tv is the worst, sometimes it doesnt even turn on, right now is showing that its on but the screen is black, it gave me the home screen and went back to black screen. It doesnt have a lot of memory and google asistant doesnt even work at all. I should of gotten a roku tv instead.

Fantastic, is how I would describe this tv. The picture is extremely impressive considering it's the Hisense brand.
I took a chance on it from some promising reviews on Best Buy and YouTube. It definitely didn't disappoint. It's vibrant, excellent colors and the 4k is clean. HDR is a little dim but that's something in a higher price range for ideal brightness.
I wanted something that felt premium without having to spend over $1,000 and this tv puts in the work.
I hooked up my PS5 and it looks a great as it could look minus the 120 fps which is not necessary for me right now. Sound is adequate but you should get a sound system if you like that theatrical feel. Apps run smooth, not much lag at all.
I'm happy with my purchase. Is it OLED? Of course not. But it does the job exceptionally well for every day 4k usage and gaming.
I'll patiently save for the fancy-pants tech. Meanwhile, this was definitely worth it and I recommend it highly if you want great picture on a budget!

So I have to say this is a pretty decent tv! Especially for the price! I got this tv on sale. It is for our master bedroom. We personally didn’t like the smart tv interface so we got a Roku sound at to enhance our bedroom entertainment and it worked out so nicely! Great for anyone on a budget, guest bedroom, air bnbs, ect. The contrast is super nice. I have only praised this tv since we upgraded. Watching Game of Thrones on here, and you can actually see everything pretty clearly with even my one bedroom lamp on. Also! Key tv enhancement! Turn your picture setting to vivid or customize it yourself. But the default is not the best. Doesn’t show case what the tv can really portray.

The u6g and u6h are the absolute best budget 4k TVs you can buy. Nothing in this price range compared. I own a 65” and two 50”

Without a doubt an excellent cost-benefit TV, a TV at a good price with a very good image although the peak brightness is 600 helps you that it is full array, Dolby atmos, dolby vision, hdr + to be the input range is a perfect television for the cost and what it offers

Prior to this, I’ve been using a TV that was purchased easily over eight years ago. It’s so funny to feel the difference in weight and portability for these two televisions. The Hisense TV was so easy to set up and get started with, and it only took a couple minutes to log into the necessary apps and get ready to watch over the air channels using the antenna I have. The picture quality is great for my needs, and I really like not having to have anything else connected to my TV with cords hanging down. Because the apps are built in, the setup is clean and crisp. I think the sound coming out of the TV is appropriate and I really like that it is consistent across the channels and the apps and that there isn’t a lot of range for the volume that keeps me having to turn it up or down. I’m excited to keep testing out new features as I go, but for now, it’s a great new addition my my household. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

Cord cutters with antenna

I am coming from a 43-inch 1080p HDTV and a wanted a 4K smart TV to replace it, a 50 inch seems to be a good size for the bedroom. Things that are important to me are a good picture with decent upscaling for 720p and 1080i content, Since I am a cord cutter need a decent Over-The-Air tuner. I watch antenna TV shows mostly (stream like 40% of the time) and want good smart TV options with responsive UI. I had an issue with the first TV received so exchanged it for a replacement that worked fine.
Setup is easy as you connect to your WI-FI network and log in to your Google account. There is a method that allows you to quickly copy network settings from your phone to TV, but certain routers will not allow it (like mines) so had to enter it manually via the remote. I got to a consent screen for Automatic Content Recognition (ACR) this automatically adjusts picture settings to the content you are watching; it also sends data of what you watch for targeted advertisements. Most would not consent to this, but I was curious on how it handled picture settings so tried it out. On most content like over the air news shows, sitcoms were ok but on movies it was too dim (I like everything to be bright) and sometimes it would change picture settings 5 minutes later after watching, so it is not perfect. Ended up disabling ACR and manually adjusted my picture settings for OTA antenna content. (pictured)
Over the air upscaling on 720p and 1080i is good, the picture is very clear and bright with vibrant colors while 480i upscaled content is just ok. The ATSC 2.0 HDTV tuner (note this tuner is not compatible with the future OTA 4K broadcast “ATSC 3.0”) picks up more channels than my old TV with the same antenna, it shows signal level and signal quality percentage meter when you bring up info on the channel by hitting the up arrow, then right arrow on remote. TV shows and movies over the air with a 4:3 aspect ratio (black bars on the left and right of the screen) automatically convert to 16:9 (full wide screen) on channels like Bounce where they broadcast in 4:3, but cannot do it on some other channels, this is nice touch since I hate watching older shows in 4:3.
Picture quality on 4K content is excellent with rich colors, good contrast and deep blacks, picture is just incredible when compared to my older 1080p, TV is compatible with HDR10, HLG, HDR10+ and Dolby Vison that on paper is not fully optimized with 600 nits in brightness (1000 nits is needed for true HDR experience according to YouTuber Stop the Fomo) but watching HDR on this TV looks good enough for my eyes and I am quite satisfied with it. Shows from Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Max look great in 4K and lower 1080p content from Peacock, Pluto TV is good as well. Overall, this TV excels on image quality. Wi-Fi connection for streaming is rather good and picks up the signal in my bedroom with no issues of dropping.
This LED panel has a slight dirty screen effect that is barely noticeable on most content and minimal blooming on bright objects. There is, however, is no option for Motion Enhancement in picture settings (Motion option to fix blur is not offered on the 50-inch model as it is on bigger sizes) this helps with motion blur on things that have fast motion like sports. Motion handing is ok without any motion options enabled for most content, but you will notice a little blur in some sports without it.
Coming from Roku, this is my first time using an Android TV device and it took some getting used to but once you do it is great. Past reviews of Android TVs reported the OS being slow, but this is not the case for this model since the UI is snappy and responsive. Just as fast as my prior Roku TV and switching between live TV and streaming apps is seamless. Android TV additional features like Google Assistant voice command (colored circles button on remote) that lets you look up shows or movies via your voice is fantastic. The Play Next feature lets you continue watching previous watched episodes from different streaming apps from one spot and it recommends new shows from your viewing history are nice extras. There are thousands of apps to choose from, you can even add a VPN, although some proprietary apps like Apple TV, Xfinity and Spectrum are available in Google store but are not compatible with this TV as of yet. The fast CPU and storage (4.3 gigs total with 2.1 gigs of space left after 8 streaming apps and 1 VPN app installed) helps Android TV shine. Note: You can add a USB drive and format it via settings to be use as additional storage for apps on TV or power users who plan to use more than 20 apps, and want the fastest experience, should consider an external device like the Nvidia Shield Pro it has expandable storage options also.
Build quality and design wise, everything is in hard plastic and basic, but bezels are thin, legs are sturdy. TV does not look cheap at a distance and TV stand width between legs is 31.3×8.9 inches. The power LED lights in the front turns red when TV is off and this can be annoying for some in the bedroom, you can go into Device Preference and switch off Power LED.
On ports you get four HDMI connections, HDMI 1 being ARC, two USB, one Digital Optical Audio, one Composite Video, one Ethernet, one Headphone Jack and one RF Antenna Input. The ports with three HDMI, two USB and one Digital Optical Audio are located on the left side of TV, while one HDMI, Ethernet, Composite and Headphone Jack is on the back far left.
Sound is pretty good as volume is plenty loud at 14 for live TV and find myself lowering the volume to 10 when using certain streaming apps. TV has Dolby Atmos and equalizer settings but unfortunately, does not have eARC support for Dolby Atmos passthrough. You do not really need a soundbar but not getting rich premium sound and bass as you would get from a soundbar. I did notice an issue with sound cutting off after initially setting up some streaming apps with both TV’s. Just turning off and on the power did not bring the sound back but hard resetting (unplugging the power cord) brought it back.
The remote has numbers and the ability to connect via Bluetooth once you pair it by pressing and holding down the menu button on remote, great not having to point directly at TV anymore to change a channel. Controlling your TV via voice commands is cool too. You can also add live TV channels to favorites for quick access.
Overall, I am very pleased with this smart TV that offers good picture quality and features.

4.5 stars. I can find nothing to not like now that I have it hooked up to my Apple TV. The interface of the Android OS that is native on the TV is very confusing to me and I would not like using it. The physical TV is aesthetically easy on the eyes, Dolby vision looks great on it. Paired with a Sonos sound bar, the sound is excellent especially in Atmos.

Best TV for the money! I play PS5 on it and stream a lot and have this mounted to my office wall. While it doesn’t support 120hz hdmi 2.0, but only does 60hz, everything looks amazing. There is very little to no lag for online gaming as well.

So far so good. I have this tv in my bedroom so when I just want to relax either during the day or at bedtime I can watch something either on netflix, prime video, YouTube since I only have access to those and not interested in paying for the others at this time. The other programs offered to watch on this tv are Disney+, Tubi and peacock. My bf has his playstation connected to the tv so we have watched YouTube on his playstation and normally. The picture quality is ok and not bad enough to complain about. So far it has not frozen on me or glitched but only time will tell how well this tv really is. It was really well packed/protected in its box and with just a little help I was able to get it out. The legs are strong enough to hold it and are also optional. The remote I am not really into the way it feels but as long as it works and lasts a long time then that doesn't matter.
