Get what you pay for. Buy H9F world of difference.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought it after looking at all models and brands. Got it home, ran through all settings and hated it. Boxed it up and returned it. Saw H9F. Went home and looked up professional reviews. Got great ones so went back picking first one up. What a difference !!! It has enough settings to make ordinary input signals look good, 4K amazing, and 5G even better.

Hisense H8F....Best value for your money!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great 4k tv, very good upscaling of 1080 and 720p, HDR and Dolby Vision. Hisense H9F ($599) model is the best 4K TV option right now, specially for sports fans, but for ($399) H8F is the best value for your money and is close enough. If you don't matter spend $200 more, go straight for H9F. Otherwise, get H8F...is great option too.

Great Future Proof TV
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While unboxing the Hisense 55H8F I quickly began to suspect that this TV was going to be much nicer than I expected. The Hisense has some weight to it. I’d suggest getting help unboxing. It comes nicely secured and wrapped to protect it during shipping. I quickly notice the set feels solid and has a nice build quality with above average materials. The bezel is nearly nonexistent with an edge to edge display. All you really need to do is simply attach the legs and insert batteries into the remote and you’re ready for power. I looked forward to firing this baby up. Immediately your presented with the options of setting up the TV with your phone or a tablet. This makes things super easy if you’re an Android user. You can skip it if you’re not. Next connect to your WiFi using your remote to enter your password. I quickly like the remote and the onscreen keyboard is above average. Next you’re prompted to connect your Google account. This is after all an Android TV. Here again you can opt to use your phone or tablet but here any phone or tablet will work since you simply visit a website and enter the provided PIN. Select a name for your TV and you’re done. There is a brief tour of features and then your taken to the Hisense home menu where you can access a ton of content and apps. Here I start with the Google Play app and here I immediately find all my purchased movies. Nice! Notable also are the connection options including 4 hdmi 2.0b ports, 2 USB ports, optical audio output, aux, Ethernet, and even Bluetooth. I was eager to watch something to test the 55H8F out. I knew from the specifications that the Hisense has some serious features including HDR 10, Dolby Vision, wide color gamut, 60 zone full array local dimming, and motion rate 240. All of these specs are remarkable here from Hisense because these features are usually only found on far more expensive televisions. I then started loading all kinds of content to see what these specs meant visually. Wow I truly have to say I was blown away by the vivid colors and deep dark blacks I was witnessing while I watched 4K movies including Life Of Pi and Gravity. These films looked new again on the H8F. I next tried tons of 4K videos from YouTube including a bunch of OLED demos. The Hisense certainly is not an OLED TV but i was stunned by its HDR and local dimming performance. Viewing in a totally dark room was the ultimate test and easily outperformed my other TVs with dark inky blacks. There were some minimal instances of haloing and blooming but at this price point this TV is truly impressive. Viewing angles on this TV are also quite impressive. The H8F is of course a smart TV with loads of app options from the Google Play store. Plus it also includes support for Google Assistant and Alexa. You access the Google features by holding the Google button on the remote and talking into its mic. Love this feature for easily searching for YouTube videos. The remote itself is full featured and has a quality and substantial feel. To use Alexa you simply link your Amazon account to the TV and install the Hisense skill. Then you can control the TV with your Alexa device. Unfortunately the Amazon streaming app is currently missing from the included apps. I suspect it will be added down the road. I did have one slight issue which required calling Hisense customer support. While it turned out to be a silly mistake on my part, I had plugged my soundbar into the wrong hdmi port. Please note that ARC is only supported on hdmi port 1. I should point out that their tech support was exceptional in addressing my questions. I would highly recommend this television. It’s loaded with future proof features and specifications only found on far more expensive sets. Don’t fall for the brand name hype. With this TV Hisense proves it is a high quality television contender.

Great for the price
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is absolutely amazing, especially for 400 dollars, it has Android TV is which I think is the best os for a TV because it can do much more than others. The picture quality is amazing, and the dimming zones actually work pretty well and make darks look a lot darker than on other TV's with less clouding. I'm absolutely blown away by how great this TV looks for just 400.
